It sounds like a tempature sensor, but you need to go to one of the auto part stores that do free computer sensor test. Autozone is pretty reliable. AAMCO transmission also does free computer test. If it runds fine while normal driving and just stopps when you stop then its most likely not the engine, but could be a fuel filter. Also could be a injector going bad. Like I said especially on Cadi's you have to run a computer check on it. Everything is run buy a computer, you even have a computer that tells the transmission what to do.

My car keeps stalling everytime I stop or slow down but starts up straight away after it has stalled?

The vacuum hoses have probably started cracking at the turns. If there has been any under the hood work done, sometimes things get pushed on or moved and the rubber hoses on the vacuum system will get old and crusty and crack. That cause the car to die when it slows down to an idle, like at a stop sign or stop light. then it starts and runs normal until the next stop sign.

Just had the water pump timing belt and tension wheel replaced...now it stalls and dies when trying to stop or slowing down to turn...it will roughly idle in park...if it dies it starts right back

sounds like the timing is one(maybe two) teeth out of time on the timing belt. the computer is trying to advance or ****** the timing to compensate for the misaligned camshaft spockets.

Battery light on, takes forever to start then dies once started

if you can get the car started again and with someone helping you have them take the positive side of the battery cable off while it is running and if it dies then it is the alternator also check your drive belt and when was the last time it was changed because it could be slipping
