Run a wire from the positive battery terminal to the compressor wire terminal while the engine is running and, the Air Conditioner is set to max cool if the wire activates the magnetic clutch fix the broken compressor clutch wire or, the start protection diode

    inside or next to the plug that goes into your compressor is where you will find the diode it looks like a large tubular resistor.

    did you hear a click or see the pulley lock in and, start to turn when you hot wired the magnetic clutch; with the engine running? is the AC on?

    Please try again with the engine off key on and, AC on.

    if you get no click; you have no ground to the compressor or, the magnetic clutch is bad.

    remove the wiring harness plug from the compressor and, touch the hot wire directly to the terminal on the compressor to see if the center of the compressor pulley moves in or out.

    We are bypassing the low refrigerant shutoff switch so the compressor should work even if the compressor is low on refrigerant.

    The clutch must be engaged "locked" in order to refill the system with refrigerant;

    when we find the problem I'll tell you how we do that. First things first please.

Aircon does not engage when turned on

the air cond requires the belt on or the pump cannot rotate as the air cond is belt driven on every auto that i know of. now if the belt is slipping it is a cause of one of two things. belt is stretched or not tensioned properly, or the air cond clutch is froze up. when you turn on with no belt the clutch is engaged and you will not be able to turn pump with ease. Install new belt and have air checked for proper freon fill

Ac fuse blowing, in 1996 isuzu rodeo

Disconnect wire to Air Conditioning Compressor and connect normal test light to wire, from engine harness(body)side. Fit new fuse and try air cond controls and switch, test light should light up and hopefully fuse wont blow indicating short in compressor clutch windings(replace compressor). If fuse blows while doing this test compressor might be ok and fault short some where else, fan speed resistor block, fan or control/switches, wiring.

Air Cond. not working. Clutch does not engage

On the low port side (the side you put freon in) there is a low pressure cut out switch, pull it off and run a jumper wire across the two connectors, if the compressor kicks on the you are low on freon. and have a leak some where.

2005 KA blowing hot air out when set to cold

start car.turn on air conditioner high cool .raise hood look to see if the compressor clutch is engaged and running.if yes your ac air door could be stuck closed or the air door vacuum actutator not receiving vacuum.a vacuum line is broken or off. or the control switch bad.that control the AC and heater mode. if compressor clutch is not engagged.check for power at compressor clutch.if yes compressor clutch coil open. or the air conditioner refrigerant R 134 is low take car to a private garage with a good reputation. they wont be expensive as the dealership.have them hook car air conditioner to a manifold gauge set to check your refrigerant low side and high side pressure.

Well Bruno it sounds like you lost freon from your a/c system. The cabin filter wont restrict you from getting cold air.Check that your a/c clutch engages when you turn it on.if it dont you need freon and have to check for leaks

Air conditioner inop

First suggestion is the clutch not engaging. Check voltage at clutch plug and confirm power source, if there is power there then clutch would work unless it has failed.
