1998 corolla (canadian) "check" light just came on. Car runs fine. what might this mean and what should I do?

The check engine light can be caused by hundreds of things, sometimes simple things, like a loose gas cap, so you need to get your car scanned to see what the cause is. Many auto parts stores will scan your car for free, and tell you what is possibly wrong, so try to find a shop to check it out for you

We need to find out what the dashboard light indicator symbols means on a 1995 Toyota corolla

This type information can be easily found in your owner's manual. If you do not have one, I suggest you get one. Dealer can order you one or you may find one at a salvage yard. Also search on line for a down loadable copy. Some manufactures do have these on line. Sounds like traction control.
I checked the owners manual and this indicates that there is rear lght failure. It lights up on mine and there is no light failure of any sort.

Orange check engine light fpr 2005 toyota corolla

An orange check engine light means there is an electronic failure in the engine control system. It could be anything from a loose fuel cap, to a bad sensor on the engine. It is not an emergency, but you should get it checked out. A red engine light is an emergency and requires you to immediately stop the car. Yellow is a warning.

Car title

From Carfax:

Salvage Title — A Salvage Title is issued on a vehicle damaged to the extent that the cost of repairing the vehicle exceeds ~ 75% of its pre-damage value. This damage threshold may vary by state. Some states treat Junk titles the same as Salvage but the majority use this title to indicate that a vehicle is not road worthy and cannot be titled again in that state. The following eleven states also use Salvage titles to identify stolen vehicles - AZ, FL, GA, IL, MD, MN, NJ, NM, NY, OK and OR.

I need a corolla 2003-2005 under $7,000. where can i get one like that?

It's not impossible. You may find some luck with the more popular car buying sites such as or
For that price, I would find private owners that are selling the car rather than dealers and bring cash. I got a really good deal on a 2003 S model.
More than likely, you will end up buying a CE model, which only lacks the power features but have the same engine and transmission as all the other models. You may want to also look at the Chevy Prizms which share the engine & transmission as the toyota. They stopped making these in 2002. Good luck,
