Fan came loose from electric fan motor

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The fan came loose from the fan motor and does not seem to be damaged and looks like it just needs threaded back on to the shaft of the motor. How do I remove the motor and fan assembly to accomplish this?

The fan blade is pushed on the shaft and held with a metal clip, sounds easy enough but you have to unhook the radiator and lift it up high enough to get shroud off and remove the bolts, holding the motor assy to the radiator, unplug fan,but depending on what engine you have you will also have to remove the breather box assembly, battery, battery box,and some of the radiator bolts go through the front behind the grill, but you do not have to remove the grill as this is a one piece with the front bumper cover. I did a replacement fan is about 8hrs on a 01 with a 4.0 but also replaced water pump since it was easy to get to and had 140k mi on it and heater was cool at idle and hot when driving, sign water pump is weak.

Remove the radiator to get to the fan assembly and you probably need a new one unless it just came loose.the motor will be bolted on remove and replace

1999 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo a/c electric fan not turning on.I've already replaced the relay, it worked for a very short time then it won't work again, water thermostat also has been change, no help.

There is a resistor mounted by the fan, this could have burned out. Look on passenger side right by fan motor should be 2 screews that have 5-6 wires pluged into it had to replace mine once fan only on high worth looking in too. Also, check if the blower motor Resistor Harness was faulty.

Good luck.

Air con / heater not working in my 2000 jeep grand cherokee no fan working no hot or cold air nothing

Your fan motor has most likely gone out. Its not that expensive of a part but most likely your problem. It can be a pain in the **** to fix though. Also, if you fix that and it still doesnt work, its likely to be a fuse, wiring, or something in the electrical system.

Coolant fan not turning and air conditioner blows out hot air.

Re-check the relay to make sure it's still good, then check the fan by hot wiring it to the battery. Also check the temp sensor on the engine. If the check light is on, don't drive it 'till you find out why or you can damage the engine.
