Question about 1994 Isuzu Rodeo

1 Answer

I have a remote door lock question. Some time ago the aircraft carrier Ronald Regan arrived in San Diego and we went to the harbor to see it arrive. When we returned to our car the remote door opener would not work. Neither would the remote open the trunk. It was essentially dead. We drove a few miles away, stopped to eat and everything worked fine again. This past Wednesday, again we were in San Diego about a mile from the previous incident and again the remote would not work. We got home and it worked fine. The car is a 2000 Avalon. We have about 125,000 miles on it and these two occasions are the only times we have had this happen. What could be going on in the harbor area of San Diego that incapacitates our remote?

You likely encountered interference from another transmitter of some kind. Anything on that frequency that is more powerful than the puny transmitter in the keychain would overpower the signal from your device. You may not experience this issue anywhere else, but if you have to go to the same location again, put the opener right against the car. Good luck,

Aveo door lock

Hi All
I really appreciate all the solutions that have been posted. The only concern that I have is that none of the solutions are referring to the 1987 Chrysler Fifth Ave. There is everything from Chev,GMC,Toyota and Honda. Does anyone have a solution for my Fifth Ave? Thanks Tony

My name is Amir Rahim. I live in San Diego CA. North Park. Not too bad of a neighborhood. I loved my 2005 Chevy Equinox. Up until two nights ago I felt secure every time I locked the doors and heard...

You should never leave $$$$ things like that inside a locked up car. Factory alarm systems only go off if the doors are opened. All the crooks know this. You need to have a glass breakage sensor added to your system.

I recently had problems with my remotes not working on my 2004 Toy Sequoia, I was initially told that it was the remotes. Turns out it was much more than that and required that the dealership keep my SUV...

Hi, the problem you are having is not with the remotes the problem you are having is with the central locking motor, this would not have failed due to the remotes not working as the other doors lock then this would rule out the remote being at fault as its only one sensor that picks up the signal then this locks all the doors.
the problem is with the central locking motor inside the door, it may just be that a wire has come loose or if you can hear it working but it dont lock then this means the motor unit will need replacing.

either way the whole door panel has got to come off so you can get to the motor and the wires.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks
