Question about 1998 Oldsmobile 88
We are trying to remove a water pump from a 1998 Olds 88 (3.8L). It should be easy but one of the bolts is behind the idler which doesn't look easy ..,. is there a trick? The idler seems to be held on by a single hex allen ... really tight. So it looks like its going to put up a fight.
There is a hole in the pulley for the power steering unit. That hole accesses the bolts to drop this unit down and then you can change the water pump. The trick is getting these two bolts lined back up to reinstall it
