The door seal is probably the culprit.if it has ever been opened after the keys were locked in it the seal was damaged.get someone to sit in the car and spray it at a car wash with high pressure around the door seals

when turning on the fan is this when it smokes. if so then i would say the problem is the heater core has a leak in it causing your problem. the heater core will have to be replaced.

Driver side floor getting wet.,changed windshield, checked around door for leask ,the only other thing i can think it may be is the a/c drain, but most leask on pass.side.i am lost ,need help

could be your heater core. does it seem to steam out the vents? any funny smells? check your coolant level to see if it is low. OR (and I dont recommend) you could do the taste test of the fluid. if its sweet its coolant.

Rear right passenger floor gets wet no rain

Question:Are you running your heater? If yes, your heater core is leaking. Its located behind the dash on the passenger side. Sorry to say, change it. You can do this yourself. Just a tight space to work, and hard on your patience.

Waterleaking passenger floor all wet!!! where is the heater coil and can i by pass it

call any auto parts store to find exact location of heater core. yes you can bypass it, but you will have no heat inside of car, it needs to be replaced. to bypass just hook hoses from core together, without going through heater core.

1996 grand am 3.1 wet floor on drivers side?

Either your AC drain is clogged or the heater core is failing. Does your heat work well and blow hot air? If so, it's likely a clogged AC drain (although a bad heater core could be the issue). If it does not, your heater core is shot (replacement involves removal of the dashboard).

Wet drivers side front floor and rear right floor

It's probably a blocked a/c drain line. The condensation can't drain out because the hose is blocked w/ 'goop', U should be able to locate the drain hose in the passenger area, front seat about where your feet would be, middle of pass area. U can either blow air thru it to clear it, or from under the car, locate the end of the hose and with a small wire, gently run it up the hose to clear obstruction. The carpet padding is like a sponge, so the moisture is probably wicking to the rear area from underneath.
Newer cars run in the a/c mode whenever heat or defrost is on, even though u don't turn on the a/c. Let me know how u make out.
