The fuse cover should tell you what each fuse goes to check that cover.

What can be done about the draining of the battery by the jb power fuse on the 2002 grand Cherokee right hand drive

What ? jb power fuse ? Why don't you say what jb is ? I'm assuming you mean junction box . Were not mind readers ! Regardless you have a parasitic draw on one of the circuits in the junction box , Hook up a amp meter between the negative battery post an negative battery cable . Shouldn't have more then 50 milliamp draw . Pull the fuse's one at a time till the drain goes away . Look at a wiring diagram for that circuit to see what all is on it . isolate an fix . Need to find the ac fuse

find your fuse box. it is usually located under the steering wheel. pull the cover off and there is a manual on the inside of the cover wich tells you wich fuse goes where and what the fuse controls good luck!

I have a 2002 audi quatro A4 V6. the battery goes dead overnight - not always, intermittent. new battery. something is drawing power. no check engine light on. under 100,000 miles on the car.

unhook battery positive and install test light in between the post and the cable. if it has a draw it should come on dim. then unplug the fuses one at a time and when you pull the fuse and the light gose out thats the circut with the draw. then refer to what that fuse runs and correct the problem by inspecting that part and repairing as needed.

Batery will go death every 2 weeks aprox.

it sounds like you have a draw on the batt. you can test for draw by disconnect + cable from batt. then
use a 12v test light with 1 end + batt term the other to the cable end now with all doors shut all lights
and electronics off + key in your pocket also you may have to remove the engine comp. bulb to avoid
a false read the test light should be out if not you have a draw. the next step is with the test light in
place pull 1 fuse at a time till light go's out that fuse
controls the circut giving you problems
(pull dome bulb before you pull fuses no false read)
also, check any after market devices first radios-
alarms-remote starters etc.
with that said the problem may be intermitent as you
said every 2 weeks if you get no results on1st test
next time the batt. is dead (not flat stone dead)
test it again before you jump it this would be the
best chance to catch an intermitent draw.
any other ? gimme a shout good luck

Battery drains

This is a very difficult task.

One way to narrow the possibilities is to connect and ammeter between the battery ground cable and the battery (disconnect the ground cable first).

Start pulling fuses until the current draw goes to zero. That will tell you which electrical subsystem is causing the drain.

Then you start probing that subsystem. A good possibility is a stuck relay.

It's not a short unless it's a resistive short. A short would have already taken care of the drain problem by blowing a fuse or burning up something.

Battery drain... fuse blew - connect to ballist resister

Do you know anyone with a ammeter? You need to hook one up to the battery to check for draw. If the draw with the key off is more than .025 amps, then pull one fuse out at a time till the draw goes away. When it goes away, that will tell you what circuit to check. Hope this helps. As for fuse #3, I would have to look at a wiring diagram for that.
