Question about 1994 Dodge Caravan
I have a 2001 Grand Caravan Sport. Recently, the car was having trouble starting. When you turned the key, it was just dead, as if the battery needed charged. However, there wasn't anything wrong with the battery. My husband replaced the ignition switch and it worked fine for a couple of weeks. Then, it all stared again. Sometimes it works, sometimes it takes 10-20 tries to get it to work.
THER ARETWO COPPER CONACTS IN THE STARTER SOLENOID THAT ARE REPACABLE.IF YOU TAKE THE COVER OFF THE SOLENOID PART OF THE STARTER AND PULL OUT THE PLUNGER I THINK YOU WILL SEE THAT ONE OF THE CONTACTS IS BURNT SHORTER THAN THE OTHER CAUSING YOU TO JUST HEAR A CLICK WHEN YOU TURN THE KET TO START.ANY STARTER REPAIR SHOP SHOULD STOCK THESE PARTS FOR BETWEEN $10 & $20 .
