Have a 05 dodge 1500 the 4x4 switch an overhead console leds quit working an keeps blowing the fuse as soon as i put it in

Odd that your vehicle runs both systems on the same circuit and with only a 10 amp fuse. I'd try a 20 amp fuse to see if that works. Worth a shot, it shouldn't harm anything.

Why did two fuses blow making check engine light came back on

Scan for codes there a reason the fuses blew, just replacing them isn't always the answer. If they blow again you've got a wiring issue.

How can I test if a sensor or sensor pigtail is good or bad?

you should first start by finding out what components are on the circuit which keeps blowing the 10amp fuse.
before inserting a fresh fuse check all components and see if wiring has a dead short to ground.
disconnect all the components that the 10amp fuse feeds. insert new fuse into fuse box and turn igntion on.
now reconnect each connector to each component and see if you blow the fuse. when the fuse blows again when you reconnect a component you now know its that component or wiring causing the problem.
you can now test the component (sensor or actuator or solenoid) to see if its a component failure or a wiring problem.

I have a 99 ram 4x4 slt laramie dome lights cargo light and map lights dont work, replaced #12 fuse 10amp under the black fuse keeper thingy on the drivers side but it keeps blowing it some times it lasts...

Classic symptoms of a frayed wire carrying current somewhere in the circuit, but touching metal, bare metal against bare hot wire: instant SHORT! Maybe a little spark there. Fortunately for you, you have a 10 amp fuse in that circuit which blows, and keeps the wiring from melting, and maybe starting a fire somewhere in your vehicle. If the fuse doesn't blow right away, the bare wire has moved away from contact with metal, but eventually, with enough movement it gets back into position and shorts again.
Enlightening, but not very helpful, eh? I'm afraid that's the way it is, Richard. Shorts like that can be very difficult to trace and find, without time and patience, a decent understanding of auto electrical systems, a wiring diagram for your Laramie, and knowing just what circuits that fuse protects.
If you have the owner's manual, it should list the circuits for that #12 fuse. I'd start with the dome lights, and remember, the door switches are part of that circuit. Good luck.
