How to replace a gas pedal for a 2000 jetta vr6. its a drive by wire system. i have a new one and would like to replace it myself...please advise..thank you

There are 3 nuts that are 13mm that secure the pedal assembly to mounting studs, you'll have to remove the plastic trim below the steering wheel to gain access. Once those are removed, there is a plug connector with two tabs that must be squeezed towards the center to release the wire harness connector. Worth noting is that these pedal assemblies rarely fail, and if your gas pedal isn't doing anything, it could be frayed or shorted wires to your O2 sensor as that can cause an EPC light and non-functioning gas pedal, due the O2 sensor sharing logic with the gas pedal. If that is the case, then the remedy is to replace the ECU and repair the O2 wire harness prior to programming the ECU.

H2o bank 2 sensor 1 location

Bank and sensor location. Bank 1 refers to the back of cylinders that contain cylinder #1. Bank two refers to the other bank of cylinders that do not contain cylinder #1. Sensor 1 refers to the upstream O2 sensor or the O2 sensor before the catalytic convertor. Sensor 2 refers to the downstream O2 sensor or the sensor located after the Catalytic convertor. I hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions, good luck.

O2 sensor location

What engine do you have? Does your car have a V6 or a four-cylinder? Regardless of the engine, you will have an O2 sensor after the catalytic converter. On a four cylinder you'll have one in the exhaust manifold as well. On a V6 you'll have one sensor between the engine and cat, and one after each cat as well. The sensor(s) before the cats determine your fuel mixture, and the after-cat sensor(s) are used to monitor the efficiency of the cat.
