Did you check all fuses after replacing everything? If you did not disconnect battery while replacement you may have blown fuse.
Good luck.

Testimonial: "Great. How can I find the location of the fuse?"

  • Eckorot Oct 03, 2009

Owners manual should give a listing with diagrams for both the fuse panel (interior) and power distribution box (under hood). Should be a table listing fuse #'s and the components that they operate. Should find blower motor in that listing. Will probably be one of the larger ones in the power distribution box. Probably 40 amp.

Fan blower stopped working

Hi Retta_roche,
This circuit is controlled through the switch. In the high position,it by-passes the blower resistor. So if the blower is off in the high position, and the fuse is good, you need to check the switch, blower motor or the wiring.Since the switch physically feels different, start there. Pull the switch and ground pin #4 blk/org wire with the key on. If the fan works, the switch is bad. You need to check the connector at the blower motor for evidence of a burn. If you find the connector burned, you will need to replace the motor and the connector. I am sending the wiring diagram to help you. If you need anything else, drop me a line. Thanks,Chuck d442985.gif

2001 Jeep Wrangler heater blower stopped working

Yes I would go with the switch, BUT, does it have a resistor bank? That is, how does it reduce the speed? Many systems use resistors to lower the speed. Burnt or bad connections can cause this as well.
You can test the blower motor by connecting direct power from a source like the cigarette lighter if you are handy.
Most of the time the lower speeds konk out but the high speed continues to work this is the resistor bank that goes out.

The fan motor switch will not work on positions 1,2,3- but do work on 4 and 5.. What needs to be replaced or repaired

replace your blower resister it location in on you blower motor box it will be behind you glove box I think ,but replace it all will be ok.I hope this These are a pain to reach. They are bolted under the dash forward of the the blower motor. If you pull the blower motor out first, you can see the bolts that hold the resistor in. They usually melt the resistors on the circuit board. Good luck. 79131833.gif ,

I turn the the fan on for the heating but the fan

Sounds like a seized up (bad bearings) blower motor. It may not pull enough current to blow the fuse at the lower fan settings but does at the high one. Something could also be jamming the blower fan in its air duct.

Most blower motors can be accessed under the hood. Replace the fuse then put the blower switch on one of the lower settings (don't blow the fuse). Get yourself a good sized screwdriver and hit the back of the blower motor with the screwdriver handle a couple of times.

Sometimes (unless the blower motor has totally seized up) you can get it to spin and this will tell you for sure you need a new blower. Other than that, you can get a spare blower motor, remove the connection wires from the old motor and hook them up to the new one to test before you go to the trouble of replacing the blower.

Hope this helps you out... -Dan

It keeps burning out blower resistors because of the blower motor drawing to much amperage so you will need to replace the resistor and blower motor

2001 Nissan Sentra A/C Blower Not working

I enjoyed the same problem on my 2001 Nissan Sentra three months after I moved to Florida from New England. It is not a fuse; the fan would not work at all if it was a fuse. Your problem is the fan motor resistor behind the glove box. The classic symptoms are that the fan will not operate except on 4 (full speed). You technically could replace it on your own but I took it to my Nissan dealer and had it replaced for under $100, parts, labour, tax, and coffee.
