Oil level is normally at 40 however while driving it suddenly dropped to the 0 mark the it begins to read all over the gauge. Oil level is good I NEED HELP!!!!!

The reading on the gauge is not oil level, that is oil pressure. If you have lost oil pressure you either have a bad oil sending unit, bad gauge, or an actual pressure issue. If you can connect a manual gauge and verify if you do or do not have pressure is the first step. If you do have pressure with the mechanical gauge then you simply need to figure out if you need a sending unit or a gauge. If you do not have pressure with a mechanical gauge the only answer is internal with a clogged sump tube, failed oil pump, or spun bearing.

Oil pressure gauge flickers all over then goes to zero shut engine light comes on oil has 1000 miles on it 5w30 control cold or warm may return to normal 60/70 then 0

Problem could be a bad oil pressure sensor or the oil pump is failing. A mechanical oil pressure gauge needs to be hooked up to verify actual oil pressure. Problem could also be a bad stepper motor in the instrument cluster that drives the gauge.

Mustang GT 2002 oil pressure gauge dropping to zero

The first order of business is to check the oil pressure while the gauge is not working. If the oil pressure is fine and the system reading zero, there is a fault in the oil pressure switch circuit. Often, the problem is related to the oil pressure switch itself. I have seen cases, too, where the oil pressure switch fails internally, causing oil to push past the seal and into the wiring connection causing a short. The wiring harness has a single pin.

Another area, though it fails much less often, is a break in the wiring between the oil pressure sender/switch and the ECM module (located in the right passenger footwell) and between the ECM and the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster may also have a short, though the sender is the most likely issue here.

The oil pressure gauge keeps dropping down to 0 while i am driving

If you don't hear any ticking or knocking while the pressure gauge drops, the problem is probably a failing "oil pressure sensor". If you do hear a ticking or knocking, the problem is probably a failing "oil pump".

2002 jeep wrangler oil pressure gauge drops

When the gauge is at 0, is there any noise from the engine (tick, knock etc?) I would have someone put a mechanical gauge on there and read true pressure.Your driving pressure seems OK but if the low number is "real" something is wrong!

Oil pressure on a 2004 5.3 liter silverado at idle is around 20

The pressure to be most concerned with is the reading in gear at idle with engine warmed up...Low end really should not be below 20. If pressure wanders, change the sending unit and check actual pressure with a mechanical gauge if necessary. The age and quality of your oil, as well as temperature all play a part in pressure, as well as internal wear from time & miles of use. If pressure changes with rpm, that is normal. 40psi is good while driving.
need more info just ask.

Oil pressure drops to 0

If its a v8 then its probably a plugged oil sump and now a bad pump. install test gauge to determine if pump is actually bad.
