2005 equinox will start and stall

Started immediatly after 90 day warranty(used). thought maybe bad gas or dirty igniters. did the dry gas and gas treatment for 4 fu=ill up s and 2 weeks later it started all over again. when it does start and battery starts to wane we jump it and while holding cover for battery we'd wiggle it and the car would start!!! but as soon as you jiggle the cover again it'd stall grrrrr I HATE THIS CAR!!!!

Sounds like a fuel filter that gets clogged with dirt and then gets unclogged when you put the fuel treatment in your gas tank. Love your car it needs a little TLC. Replace the fuel filter and make sure all fuel line connections are tight.

    Greetings again cw_emery:

I forgot to tell you to tighten your battery cables after making sure the battery posts are clean. If you shake the battery and the car cuts on or off when you wiggle the cables the then the clue is that the battery needs to be tightened. Your car loves ya.

Idling shakes

Older systems used an Idle Air control sloenoid, to control slight changes in air flow for idle and loads......also the throttle plate is controlled by a cable....

TAC systems(Throttle Actuator Control) have a motor in place of a cable, controlling throttle plate opening......and don't use an IAC valve......

TAC system......clean throttle plate and mating bore as best as possible......then with key out of ignition, disconnect the neg bat cable, and then the positive one....hold cables together for a minute.....this resets all modules......also makes sure the tube that goes from snorkle to the rear valve cover is intact.....

For cable throttle bodies, once again clean the throttle plate AND the mating bore.....also remove the IAC valve, clean the pintle and the mating passage......

Check for any possible vac leaks.....once again check the fresh air tube to make sure it is attached to the rear valve cover....

Sometimes when i start my 2005 equinox i have to press the gass pedal for the engine to start

I had same issue, turns out it was a faulty PCM . The PCM contols mixture of fuel and basically everything electronic in the car (explaining many abnormal occurences with A/C and starting)

The only thing you can do is replace the PCM ($400) and hope its not also faulty. Good luck.Chevy corporate doesnt care and wont do anythingto help.

2005 Chevy Malibu starting problem

Sounds to me like you should check your battery and connections to it. Maybe they are dirty or corroded- not allowing full amperage to start your car or recharge the battery fully.

Just a relatively easy check and usually a no- cost fix!!!
Hope this helps you out!!

Stalling truck

Sounds like it could be a number of things Coil breaking down, ignition module breaking down or a failing relay.Could be ignition relay or fuel pump relay. The relay is the quickest, easiest and cheapest option to try first.
