First you need to determine the source of the leak. You can put a large sheet of cardboard under the car when you park it, and take a look at the cardboard the next time you go to use the car.. Then look straight up from where the oil spot is on the cardboard, and it will help you to get an idea. G/L

What does it mean if Oil is in the Anitfreeze Overflow? I have a 2001 Ford Ranger 3.0 v6 2wd automatic

This means you have a leak in the head gasket. Get it fixed because there is small amounts also going into the oil and will be hard on the bearings. Good Luck, JERROD

1999 Ford Ranger jerking in the rear

The rear brakes may have some oil on them which will cause sticking/grabbing braking. Usually from leaking brake cylinders or calipers/wheel bearing seals. Pull each wheel and check. Another problem could be a bad 'U' joint at either end of the driveline. Make sure the emergency/parking brake is fully released. It's possible that a rear axle bearing is going out, but they will make a rough sound when moving. Make sure that the spring mounts are tight. Check the oil level in the differential. Shift from forward to reverse several times to see if this reoccurs each time. Get someone to watch and listen while you do this. Hope this helps!

Ford ranger 2002 6 4.0 LTR truck over heating.

The water is from the thermostat housing, fairly common leak. The ticking maybe from the timing chain cassette. You may have already had the cam timing slip (the cam gears are not keyed, they are held in place by torque alone. The oil gauge sounds like an electrical problem (either sender or sender wiring).

This must be the power steering pump that is going bad. You might have to replace it.
