What do you mean they "keep" going out I would have the dealer fix this under the warranty untill they got it right you may want to find a new dealer if you have had this serviced already

2009 vw Routan. Drivers side power door opens with switch but will not close with any of the switches or the remote. Can I fix this myself?

It is probably just a linkage adjustment or a bush has fallen out, getting the door trim off will be the challenge. Once you can see inside the door work the switch to see what moves, keep you fingers out of the way of the linkages. You should be able to see what the problem is.
Hope this helps

I have a 2008 chevy silverado crew cab and one of the door locks doesn't move

This is a very common problem on all chevy trucks for this year. The door lock solenoids are integrated into the door latch assembly, and are notoriously weak. They will work fine sometimes, others they just seem to barely move or not at all. You will need to replaced the door lock / latch assembly for the affected door.

I just hear a click when trying to operate the passenger door power window from either driver or passenger toggle button.

I'm betting the click is the electric magnet (door lock selenoid) moving up or down, but the linkage has fallen off. It should be easy to fix except you will have to get guidance to remove the interior trim from the door. I suggest you purchase a "Haynes Service Manual" for your vehicle at WalMart or Autozone or similar place. They cost around $14 and will save you much more than that in time and broken pieces. Plus you can say "I fixed it myself".

Does a 2009 Chevy Silverado have what are referred to as continuosly powered brakes, in other words, is powered supplied when the ignition is off.

NO the power brakes runs off the brake booster which is under vacuum from the intake manifold. You will till have power brakes till the vacuum in the booster equalizes and then your going to have to just use brute force. The only electrical motor that controls your brakes are in the ABS but that just opens and closes valves to keep the wheels from locking up. Good luck and hope this helps.

I was locked out of my 2007 silverado.

There is a feature called "delayed locking". If you get out of your vehicle and the keys are left in the ignition when you manually lock the doors with the door lock switch, the system will warn you the keys are in the ignition and do you really want to lock the door.
If you manually lock the door with the door lock switch a second time and shut the door, the locking system will lock all doors in 7 seconds and lock you out.

You can disable the feature through you DIC or have your dealer do it for you. The instructions are in the owners manual if you would like to try it.
Hope this helps, let me know.
Best regards,
