Question about 2005 Chrysler Town & Country
Egr valve engine light on. Is it the valve or sensor or short? Car does not run rough or exhibit any problem but engine light is on and has been for a while. I don't want to replace the valve and not correct the problem. I have tried to unplug the valve and tap on the valve and line and unplug the battery to try and reset the engine light but the engine light remains on.
NORMALLY, IF THE LIGHT COMES ON, AS U SAY, IT IS A PROBLEM WITH ONE OF THE THREE.
A SHORT IS LEAST LIKELY..
USUALLY A ELECTRICAL PROBLEM SUCH AS THAT DOES NOT REMAIN ISOLATED , ESPECIALLY OVER THE TIME FRAME U HAVE GIVEN.
I WOULD CHECK ALL YOUR UNDER THE HOOD FUSES AND RELAYS.
THERE IS A WAY TO TEST YOUR SENSOR YOURSELF WITH A GOOD QUALITY DIGITAL VOLT METER..
TROUBLESHOOT ALL THE SYMPTOMS A BAD EGR CAN REPRESENT AGAIN..MAKE SURE THERE ISN'T A SYMPTOM U HAVE MISSED.
