Question about 2004 Saturn ION
There is no power steering pump,its all electric,,,the motor and module are attached to the steering column in the dash,,,if it just shut down while parking thats normal to protect it from overheating,,but if under normal driving it should not do that,,if it is doing thats it means you need a new steering column,,,its a normal ion issue
