Check your fuses. Most likely one or more of them are blown.

Something is draining my battery on my 2003 Chevrolet Suburban

often it is the tiniest light or circuit eg tailgate, trunk or door interior light switch. wait for dark and then check for the glove box light or under hood light or other interior light. is the radio turning off ok?
with the ignition and motor turned off connect a 12v voltmeter to the battery then disconnect/reconnnect one fuse at a time and observe when the voltmeter flickers. remember that alarm systems and clock in radio draw current at all times.
with the engine off, put your hand on the alternator. if it is hot then the battery is trying to make it spin like a motor due to a failed rectifier. these are built in to the alternator housing so an exchange alternator is needed.
it may be that your battery has seen better days. batteries are very sensitive to cold weather. have the battery load tested. better a new battery now than stuck in the snow with a dead engine

My headlights dim when I put on my breaks

Yes it can be,with a weak battery the alternator has to work harder,in doing so you will loose the alternator faster, going down the road and the interior light flickering, hard to say without seeing it,

Battery problems

Well, something is on if the battery is dead. Pull the interior light fuse, and the clock fuse, disconnect the negative battery cable and put a 12 volt test light between the battery terminal and the cable...Likely it will light. Then pull fuses one at a time and observe if the light goes out. Keep disconnecting until you get the light to go out. Do not rule out the new alternator, stuff happens.

HAVE BATTERY RECHARGED OR VECHICLE JUMP START.WITH VECHICLE RUNNING MAKE SURE ALTERNATOR IS CHARGING THE BATTERY.ALTERNATOR OUT PUT AT BATTERY SHOULD BE 13.5 - 14.5 VOLTS.IF NOT CHECK ALTERNATOR FUSE.CHECK ALTERNATOR + BATTERY FEED WIRE AND VOLTAGE REGULATOR WIRES MAKE SURE NONE OF WIRES LOOSE BROKEN OR DISCONNECTED.IF ALL IS GOOD AND ALTERNATOR OUT PUT LOW ALTERNATOR FAULTY.IF ALTERNATOR VOLTAGE OUT PUT OKAY. YOUR BATTERY DRAIN PROBLEM COULD BE FAULTY AC HEATER BLOWER MOTOR RELAY.CHECK INSIDE CAR WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH OFF.MAKE SURE RADIO TURN OFF.INTERIOR LIGHTS TURN OFF.HEAD LIGHTS TURN OFF.LISTEN FOR ANY NOISES LIKE BLOWER MOTOR RUNNING, OR FAULTY DOOR LOCK SOLENOID CLICKING NOISE.IF EVERY THING SO FAR OKAY.OTHER POSSIBLE CAUSES BATTERY DRAINING COULD BE FAULTY ALTERNATOR,FAULTY STARTER SOLENOID CONTACTS SHORTING OUT.THE PCM COULD DRAIN BATTERY IF FAULTY.THE NEW BATTERY COULD BE DEFECTIVE.

Have a 1978 corvette i put a new battery and alternator on it but it won't keep a charge

You may have a current that draws current when the car is turned off.
A stuck break light switch, an interior light or a short somewhere.

I just fixed this problem on my brother-in-laws lumina. Yours could be experiencing the same. Pull all of the marker lights out of the sockets and leave them hang out. While doing this, check the wires for scuffs or bareness. Then add another fuse. Try the dashlights again, if it stays on... then you have a need for new peanut bulbs for the marker lights. If the fuse blows again, then try pulling the lights on the dashboard (by removing the dashconsole parts, etc. Its a process of elimination. If the marker lights are the culprit, clean the sockets out with a brush before you install new lights.

Well, if the alternator belt squeaks a little, it cannot be actually charging properly, resolve that...

First steps would be to fully charge the battery and measure the voltage. Turn of vehicle Disconnect the negative terminal overnight, for a night or two.

If battery still dead, focus on the battery.
If battery is not dead, put a volt meter between the negative terminal and cable and measure voltage... do not be mislead by interior lights, or clock, pull those fuses, during testing...

Anyways, keep going until you find a drain.

The alternator has diodes that can cause a drain...disconnect for testing purposes...

NEVER run the vehicle with the battery cable dicsonnected.

Interior Lights not workin on Dashboard/gear Shift

The problem is probably a blown fuse. Check the owner's manual for location of the fuse panel, find the fuse marked instrument panel (or similar), and put in a new fuse. If the new fuse blows, there is a short which will have to be located and repaired.
