Question about 2001 Acura 3.2CL

My battery keeps dying on me. Last sunday i took my car out and it has been parked since. I went out last night to start it again and the battery was too low to start the engine. The radio would turn on, but my headlights wouldn't or anything that seemed to use a fair amount of electricity. This is the third time this has happened over the past three weeks and I don't believe I'm leaving anything on. Once I get a jump though, the car is fine. I take it out for the day, and the next day. On the third day sometimes it gives hesitation so Im assuming thats when its about to die? The battery was fresh installed October of 2006. What's wrong?

Hmmmm.. Well come to think of it, the battery cables are a bit corroded. But it has been like that for a while and never gave me any issues. Maybe they finally gave out? Ill take it to Autozone either later today or this weekend and see what the problem is. I don't think (or rather hope) its the alternator, but who am I to say. I will update.

Totally forgot to post an update. Sorry. Classes and a job get hectic sometimes. Anyways the problem was the battery itself. It was a shitty Interstate battery. I took it to Autozone for them to test it and recharge it. It wouldn't hold the charge at all. They tested it once it had some charge and the machine said it was a bad battery. Just replaced it and the car runs 100% again. Thanks for your help guys

Take it to autozone and have them charge the battery up ad test the altanator output voltage and amperage output for free also have them do a load test on the battery, You may need to clean the batteriey cables to. If this does not fix the problem please post here and I will help you some more.

Clean the cables first thing then if it does not work take it to autozone costs you nothning then teat the altanator. And the battery. If you have ran down the battery more than once you could of damaged the battery as well. If the battery is not charged tha altanator will not charge.

There is a Couple of Possibilities as to Why this is happening, A Battery this Old zthe FIRST thing you should do Is Have it Charged Fully and Properly Tested, as Most ALL Batterys Life-Span is arould 3-5 years. It could have 1 DEAD CELL in it Causing this , AUTO ZONE Does this for FREE, Then there is the Possibility that you have what is Called a Battery DRAW Problem. This Needs to be tested BY---------
Useing a Test Light, you Disconnect the Negitive Cable off the Battery and use test Light Cliped onto NEG Cable & Probe end Pocked onto the BATTERY With Key off and EVERYTHING Electrical on Vehicle OFF & DOORS CLOSED The test Light should NOT be ON if it IS then you have a Battery DRAW ( Something IS ON ) and it can be Located by Removing ONE FUSE at a Time Watching the Test Light (DOORS CLOSED While doing this) When the TEST LIGHT Goes OFF This is the Curcuit that is DRAWING DOWN the Battery you then need to Check THIS CURCUIT For the Problem. I Hope This Helps you locate the Problem

I have a 2013 Chevy Tahoe with an unexplained battery drain, what could it be? help please

You could have a parasitic drain. Something that is left on in the car and drains the battery. It could also be a corroded terminal on the battery where the alternator is not getting power to charge the battery . Clean the post and the connector of all deposits and install those felt washers under the terminals to impede further corrosion.

94 subaru legacy wagon stalls when engine is warm then starts when cool

Have the battery and alt tested for free at the local parts store.
Tell them what it's doing, and start suspecting a fuel issue.
Could be getting the right amount of fuel but not burning it. (plugs, wires, coil)
Or could not be getting enough fuel.

Still hard to say, so get the charging/power system checked first.
Let me know what you find out as I'm real curious now.

Same happened to a friend and it was the fuel pump....
Same for another friend and it was 2 bad coil packs.

Truck having trouble starting.

With the engine running remove the positive battery cable, if the engine continues to run the alternator is good and the battery is probably bad. If the engine dies then the opposite is true.
