You wouldn't possibly know exactly how much a switch would cost, would you?

Should be fairly easy. Make sure to disconnect the positive battery cable. Remove the cover from around the column behind the steering wheel. Should take a star driver to remove the screws holding the cover together. Once the screws are removed pop the cover apart and you will see the multifunction switch on the column, should have two to three screws holding it to the column remove the screws and it should come out pretty easy replace with new one and put back together.

If it can be purchased aftermarket should not be much more than $100 possibly around $125. If you can not get it but from the dealer could be around $200. Thank you for using fixya to solve your problems.

HEADLIGHTS WONT TURN OFF WITH SWITCH ON A 2002 FORD ESCAPE

Do they stay on with high and low beam? If high or low beam make a difference then you likely need a multi-function switch. If they stay on regardless of high or low beam your Daytime Running Light Module (DRL) may be faulty. It should be located on the rad support, ahead of the radiator. Once you located it, unplug it and see if your lights go out. If they do, replace the DRL. If they do not you likely need a headlight switch.

Ford 2003 Focus. Low beam headlights not working. Hi beam do. Can get low beam to come on if flip between hi and low but don't stay on.

That sounds like a problem with the high beam switch in the low beam position. The contact is bad or the detent retainer isn't keeping the contact engaged.

I have a 2001 ford focus and went to get an inspection done and if failed due to my high beam lights are not working. I went to AutoZone and spend $30 getting new headlight bulbs. All fuses are good. What...

There is a relay for the high beams that may be faulty. That relay is located in the power distribution box located under the hood of the vehicle in the engine compartment. The relay location will be in the "R5" position in that panel (see diagram of layout below). Other then that you could be looking at a bad switch or a wiring problem nut pretty sure this will be your problem. I hope this helps and good luck.

No high beams on 1999 ford explorer, replaced multi function switch and still no high beams

The multi function switch does have the dimmer switch in it, but that is only a momentary contact to toggle the relay.
But is does not have to be the relay either, it could also be fuses, since the high beams and low beams have different fuses.
It is even possible both bulbs burned out at about the same time.
Use a test light to verify before replacing anything.

How to replace the light switch (high beam/turn signal) lever in a 2004 Ford Focus. The lever won't go in to place to make your high beams work. Can you give me step by step instructions on how to replace....

Before you order the part try this.

The problem can cause by dust, dirt and the protective grease drip onto the electrical contacts.

It happen on my Ford long time ago and I fix it with spending a penny..

=====

Pass a vacuum over the general area of the light switch.

That's the easy part.

Test the turn signal and high beam.

If it's a no go then take the key on and MOVE THE STICK back and forth 30+ time left and right

IT may be repaid movement.

Move the stick HI LO 30+ times.

This FAST movement will get the dirt and shipping grease out and re-new the contacts.

Test it and see what happen.

$35 sounds right for the lever. It definitely sounds like it's your lever acting up as the contact seems to be stuck

Daytime Running Lamps
The daytime running lamp (DRL) system is designed to turn the high beam headlamps on, with a reduced light output, and without illuminating the high beam indicator lamp in the instrument panel. You have a DRL Module.
The multifunction switch is the stalk on your column.

This is 96 F150 circuit. Don't have 94.
