Turns over but won't start

I would start checking fuses for power. It could be a battery cable issue or something in the fuse box. The dash lights would not be powered thru the key switch, but the other stuff would be. Provided the key switch is getting power for accessories.

have to ask this is gas in the tank because thats kind of how it will do when its out of fuel..check all fluids even the transmission level on the stick.. fords should be red or light marroon color with no gunk in the fluid like small aluminum shavings or anything like that. some blackened clutch material may be seen but lookit over well check under the hood and under the front of the van foer any obvious issues like parts hanging down or fluids on the ground (anything of pertinent issue) you may have partially rolled the timing chain also need to hear whats left of it to know for sure...good luck..

This was an intermitten problem until yesterday. When you turn the key to start the van everything goes dead. Sometimes when i would place the gear shift in neutral all power would come back and the van...

You have a bad connection with the battery somewhere. The battery controls all the power, not any of the relays. It is probably making noise cause it doesn't get power. You need to check all your connections and make sure the terminals and post are cleaned. Make sure your ends are tight. They may need done over with new terminal ends. Check all your wires in the charging system. Somewhere along that route, you have a bad connection, loose wire, or bad wire perhaps.

Van will not start. Can hear fuel pump but nothing else.

First thing check the fuses! Turn the key to the on 'run' position and check both sides of every fuse with a test light, or pull them out one by one, but test light is easier! If all is fine check for power on the starter main terminal (power will be constant when in any key position), then check for power on other terminal when in start position! If both powers are present then you will need a new starter!

Problem with the battery on my van.

I am going to hazard a guess that you have a bad ground connection somewhere in the charging circuit . Check ALL your grounds on the body, engine and frame for looseness or corrosion. It may be intermittent depending on temp or vibration some double check everything twice. Bad grounds can do weird things sometimes.

Engine would not accelerate, now wont start

Sounds like the fuel pump went. Check for power under the van at the gas tank for the fuel pump. You need 2 people to do this, the pump will only power up for 5 secs/key cycle unless the engine is running.
