Question about Lexus LX 570

My vehicle vibration while running.we change all tyres and wheel rims. front and rear propeller shafts,check wheel hub run out.check and adjust alignment but problem same.

Front and rear impeller shafts?? Not sure if you mean drive shafts or not? The problem could be in your front drive axles/drive shaft. If you replaced them all that would be 4 total (very expensive). I would try another shop if that much was replaced and didn't solve the issue. When does the problem start in idle, driving on bumps, highway? Could be a motor problem too. Need more info.

Shakes at 65mph had tires balanced also I cant feel it in the steering wheel it feels like it's coming from the back passanger side or middle


put tires from rear up front and front to rear and see if tires cause a shake also make sure no debris on hub so rim sits flush if no change and still vibration check drive shaft and u joints

Steering wheel shake at 130km


130 km !! Well, in order of liklihood

- out of balance tyre/rim combination
- out of round tyres
- loose front hub adjustment
- worn tie rod end joints
- worn suspension bushes
- worn front strut and mount rubbers
- worn inner tie rod ball joints
- worn steering box mounts
- worn or loose steering shaft spline or u-joint

I have a 04 cavalier front end shakes I replaced the tie rod ends and it's stillshakes what could be the issue


CV joints, warped rotor or rim, bad tire.. gosh I wish I could pinpoint it for ya.. Good car though, had one with 186,000 on it before somebody rear ended it.

Vibration only between 22 mph and 30 mph on my s10 (1999)


The vibration that is experienced must be confirmed if you can take a good test drive, asking a friend to drive in an empty road while you check on the front and back wheels for wobbling or noise.
If so the fault can be a worn out tyre, faulty wheel bearings or a hub.
Also the noise can be relative of the universal joints or the drive axle or propeller shaft going eccentric.
If you take an inspection under the car the loose universal joints or play on the propeller shaft can be confirmed. Also a fault in suspension/steering section cannot be ruled out.

you might have the rear bush problem cause it handle the cars smoothly, ... moreover check the rims sometimes RIMS get curvy or erected( i dont have the word for it right now , meaning = bends) by jumps or bumps( or even if you cross a speed-breaker in high speed) that causes wobbling .. more over check for EXCELS. sometimes EXCELS cause these problem .

Hello, I see you may a lot of changes and replaced a lot of parts. We leased an Explorer the same Year as yours. In our case there was a slight noise as well as vibration. The problem was the Front Hub bearings, They were bad at 18000 miles.

There are a few things I want to suggest. The spinning of the wheels on the lift will not load the bearings. A Dyno table can get everything turning with a load on it. As your vehicle is a 4x4, most Dyno's were 2 wheelers. You would have to call to find one for a 4x4.

Next, if the new Hubs do not help, have a look at the rotors. They are also balanced. You can spin balance the Wheel and rotor as a unit with a floor motor. It's not the best way to Balance because tire rotation or even shifting the Wheel on the lugs will UNbalance it. But this method CAN pinpoint a problem if a Balanced tire does not spin true when bolted to the vehicle. You will know the Rotor is off-balance and which axle is causing the problem.

If it is a tire related howl you are getting as well as the vibration through the steering wheel once you hit about 60 mph there is a number of things you need to do.

1. If you have not had a wheel alignment carried out on the vehicle in the last 6 months then have it done at a reputable suspension specialist (not a tyre dealer). Check your front tires for wear pattern in any event as uneven wear on the tyre is a sure sign of poor alignment. Bad alignment can also contribute to vibration problems. I will guarantee you that when you get the alignment checked it will be out. I am not sure if the rear alignment is adjustable on your model but if it is you will in fact need a 4 wheel alignment. (REFER point 7 also)

2. When the alignment and other necessary front end work is done check to see if the problems persists..

3. I assume your vehicle has the steel rims fitted with the plastic wheel cover. Remove the covers on the front wheels and check for the vibration. If it disappears then the out of balance condition is caused by the covers. (This would not explain the tyre howl though).

4. Remove both front wheels (clean them) and check for damage to the rims on both sides including outside scuffing. (Check tyres also.)
If the steel rim is bent or warped it will not run true and you will get vibration and the tyres will tend to be noisy on the road. It is not always easy to identify a warped steel rim from a visual check. Spinning the wheel on a wheel balance machine should normally show this up though.
If you have alloy wheels fitted these tend to crack and break rather than bend or warp.

5. Out of balance wheels.

It is possible for a wheel to be so badly manufactured that no amount of balancing on a tyre balance machine will fix it. This is a particular problem with cheap alloy wheels but even good quality wheel manufacturers will occasionally let a bad alloy wheel slip past their quality control .

6. Tyres.
If you buy budget tyres you are generally buying poor performance and potentially poorly constructed tyres. Tyres can be produced with inbuilt heavy spots that will make them impossible to properly balance. You will forever have a balance problem (and hence vibration) with such tyres. A good manufacturer will not allow such tyres to slip through quality control. Others are much less fussy. It is always a bad decision to purchase tyres in the lower price ranges.
In your case it is quite possible that if your wheels are ok the tyres are badly constructed and it is not possible to balance them properly. (This would not explain the tyre howl though).

7. Given the age of your vehicle you should have the front suspension and steering components inspected. It is possible that wear in critical components could be the source of the problem. When you take the car to the suspension specialist for the wheel alignment you need to have the front end fully checked over first and any problem areas attended to.

Without test driving and pysically inspecting the vehicle it is not possible to identify the source or sources of the problems. My best estimate is that there are significant wear problems in front end components and that your front end aligment is also out.
However , I hope this helps.

it could be as easy as checking to see if you have a dented rim.....

or as expensive as changing the "constant velocity joints" but only if it is a front wheel driven car.....

how are your shocks?

have they repacked the rear bearings..."but only if not rear wheel driven car"
