Question about 1996 Toyota Avalon

My vehicle is not responding to acceleration after i change a fuel pump and i later got this code p0453 [Rave4 lates]. I can also hear rattling noise in the intake manifold when i try to accelerate.

You may have clogged exhaust catalist convertor.

"Rattling noises" may be what's referred to as "pinging," which denotes either a general ignition system failure, contaminated fuel, improper fuel, or fuel that is far too low in octane for the vehicle.
Based on the age of the vehicle, I'd recommend readout of all stored codes (then remedy all faults), followed by a complete tune-up (including plug wires and coil packs), and replacement of all fuel in the vehicle with new, fresh fuel, accompanied by a change of the fuel filter. Once you are done, verify proper fuel pressure at the fuel rail, and change the pressure regulator and/or fuel pump, as necessary.

Rave4 2008 v6 noise

Sounds like the idler pulley. It is what keeps tension on the surpentine belt. Usually a water pump will start dripping water through a small hole in pump that opens when the bearings go bad and start to wobble. You can spray some lube on idler pulley to see if it quiets it down some thou this is not a permanent fix. It will pinpoint the problem

1st code p0440, then code p0453 then p0452 now p0446

This problem is out side the gas tank , has nothing to do with the fuel pump or fuel level sending unit inside the gas tank .DTC P0446 EVAP Vent Solenoid Valve Control System . Do you know anything about automotive evaporative emission system ?

This DTC tests the evaporative emission (EVAP) system for a restricted or blocked EVAP vent path. The control module commands the EVAP canister purge solenoid Open and the EVAP canister vent solenoid Closed. This allows vacuum to be applied to the EVAP system. Once a calibrated vacuum level has been reached, the control module commands the EVAP canister purge solenoid Closed and the EVAP canister vent solenoid Open. The control module monitors the fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor for a decrease in vacuum. If the vacuum does not decrease to near 0 inches H2O in a calibrated time, this DTC sets.

Loud rattling noise while accelerating

First thing i would try...... ISOHEET, Red bottle..... allows water to be mixed into the fuel and be burnt out of the tank.
get a good qaulity fuel injection cleaner, if you can locate the brand MALCO, i found it quite succesful..... and go with a full tank of premium fuel such as ammoco or not use yellow bottle of heet

Fuel does not seem to be reaching engine -- difficult to start, idles rough, engine does not respond to acceleration

You either have a clogged filter or fuel pump is bad. The filter is the cheapest to replace. You can do both yourself with common tools. Post if you need instructions.

66 Mustang- 289 V8- has an intermittent surge and rattling noise

Sounds like crappy gas. The 289 may not like pump no-lead and the rattling sound you are hearing may be pinging / knocking.
