Cam Sensor? Not sure exactly but will make for harder starts and even an occasional no start situations. Also rough running idle and poor performance.

What would cause a cylinder 5 misfire in my 2002 jeep grand cherokee 4.7L

A misfire may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

Faulty spark plug or wire
Faulty coil (pack)
Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
Faulty fuel injector
Burned exhaust valve
Faulty catalytic converter(s)
Running out of fuel
Poor compression
Defective computer

If you notice symptoms such as the engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors.

'04 grand cherokee limited, 4.7 ltr, quadratrack 5 speed. At idle, engine runs rough at times and at the exhaust, you can hear it missing. Had it to the Jeep dealer twice. Changed plugs, had PCM reflashed,...

sounds like you have a coil or 2 arching out, they would have to watch misfire mointor on scan tool to see which cylinders are misfiring, also there is a tsb on that, requiring a reflash, but you said that was done, hopefully done right, dealer unable to find problem, what kind of tech is working on your jeep??? well good luck, hope this helps.

My jeep studders like it is starving for fuel

It could possibly be your TPS or throttle position sensor. It plugs into the side of the throttle body and tells the injectors how much fuel to squirt. If the voltage source to the sensor is incorrect it may cause the jeep to idle rough.

My 93 jeep grand cherokee runs rough while in idle

Injector cleaner that goes in the tank is ****. I would take the injectors off and have them cleaned by a profesional for about $30-$40. Or you can do it yourself but it is a task.

I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.2l V8. It starts but doesn't idle. When put in gear it stalls out. I have replaced the fuel filter and put in and additive to clean the injectors and clean out...

TRY THIS PROCEDURE:
Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls and low idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve, they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake
