Hi i own a subaru 2ltr sport non turbo an my speedo doesant work , but the "check engine" light is staying on what can i do an will this affect my cars proformance??

The check engine light is indicating there IS a problem and yes, your cars performance is being effected. And since the car is older than 1996, a diqgnostic computer is out of the question.

I belive my headgasket is gone not sure need help

Not the head gasket. Sounds like your thermostat is bad. The radiator fluid coming out of the drain pipe on your radiator means that the engine is overheating and the excess pressure is being elieved through the drain pipe.

Change the thermostat.
