2003 Jeep Cherokee Leaks Water on Passenger Side

I have a 2003 Jeep Cherokee and it leaks water on the passenger side. I have read all the articles about the 1994-1998 edition of that problem and needless to say that none helped because the year difference. I believe something is clogged somewhere because instead of the water leaking from the AC leaking where it is suppose to, it leaks through a seal under my truck and in areas of the passenger side. My question is where else can I look. i have took out the carpet and the padding because it is soaked. Please help. My car stinks like gym socks! BTW it just water not coolant and freon.

No the its not colored it is just water. AC Works perfectly. It drips through the seal from underneath the car when AC is on. There is like a tube running underneath the carpet that is hooked to another tube located under the radio and air cluster in the center of the car. Its clogged somewhere and I cant find it.

I cannot find the drain. I took all the carpet there is no drain except the one i described. And is just gets air to the rear of the car from underneath the seat.

Just had ours fixed, look on engine side of firewall, if the outlet pipe in passenger well is a 3/4 inch long pipe projecting forward into engine bay with no tubing leading down towards the ground, the problem is water comes out trickles back with pressure in engine bay to foam seal under the pipe and enters footwell inside car.
Take a piece of rubber tubing and hose clamp it on and direct it down towards ground in engine bay and the problem will be solved!
We have gone from soaking carpet to no leak at all with this simple fix.

The drain from the AC condenser is plugged and the excess water is leaking from the Condenser plenum into the cab from under the dash. then its leaking out the bottom of the cab it sounds like. Take a piece of mechanics wire (avalible at hardware stores) and carefully snake the drain line out. If that does not work then you may have to remove the plenum and clean it.

AC Drain is forward of the cab. Located on the inner frame rail on the passengers side just behind the passengers side wheel.

Jeeps are very well known for the evaporator core housings leaking in the inside of the car on the passangers side. It sounds to me in your case you have two problems. 1) With your evaporator core holding water rather than leaking outside like it is supposed to causing water on the floor. 2) it is very possiable that with your evep box holding water it has caused your heater core to spring a leak since it is located in the same box as item 1 i just spoke of.

I suggest having the evep box resealed and checking the heater core for a leak when the box is out, I am sure this will take care of your problem.

I Hope this helps.

Sounds like a heater core problem, except for the just water. I would advise u to find where AC drains and check to see if there is something clogged.

WHY WATER LEAKS ON PASSENGER SIDE

Is there a sunroof? If there is the drains can become plugged on one side and overflow down the headliner onto the floor. There is also a drain for the A/C on the passenger side that may be plugged allowing water to overflow into the interior. The best way to find leaks is to run a hose on the car and have someone on the inside looking for the leak

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado has water pouring out from under the dashboard on the passenger side. Help!

The water gushing in on passenger side, is probably antifreeze, check that the heater core isn't leaking. If it is gushing try and capture some of this water and and see if it is antifreeze or just water. If antifreeze then it's the heatercore if water the. It's from the a/c

Water puddling on Passenger side

The water is probably coming from the air conditioner. There is a drain tube that is supposed to let the water condenstion get out of the system, but the tube sometimes gets plugged. Look on the engine side of the firewall, usually below where the a/c lines go in for a tube coming out of the firewall that is not connected to anything. Make sure that tube is clear.

2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee fluid leak

That is the area the air conditioner vent drains. There aren't a lot of fluids possible - coolant, power steering fluid and transmission fluid are the only ones that would be in that position unless your windshield washer fluid leaks from the tubing. Brake fluid would be closer to the wheels. If the air conditioner runs at all it removes moisture from the passenger compartment and drains near the passenger side firewall. All the other fluids would hae a definite smell.

2000 Grand Cherokee Dashboard leak

Maybe. If you have a fixed antenna on that side of the vehicle, the large rubber gromet on the wire leading into the passenger compartment may have come out, allowing lots of rain water to enter the vehicle. Happened on my 94 and flooded the passenger side.
