Door ajar light stays on and dom light

This happened to my ford expedition many years ago. The problem was a relay that we had to change. The cost of this relay was about $20.00. After a couple of years this relay would blow out so fast that I finally gave up and just pulled it out. I don't have lights inside my truck anymore unless I manually turn them on.

Do you know the Purpose of a Map Sensor? I am getting charged $200 by auto shop. My Jaguar's "Check Engine" light is on. There is also a reading on my dash that says "Cruise Not...

Hi, the MAP sensor detects low vacuum in the intake manifold and essentially tells the computer you are stepping on the accelerator. The computer uses this data to increase the fuel/air ratio for acceleration. If your car is hesitation when you step on the pedal, this sensor may not be operating properly. For us to help you better, we would need to know the trouble codes the shop is reading on their scanner and also the symptoms you are experiencing.

There is a tech bulliten for ecu reprogramme that Jaguar use regarding the hesitation. Black smoke is normally due to a clogged up egr valve. Can be cleaned out easily

I have just bought an x type jaguar. The sat nav system only recognises the european network and no postcodes in england. Any ideas please??

Ensure the map data dvd that you have for the car covers the uk. it might only cover mainland europe is should state GB on the packaging or on the disk itself.
alteratively in the set up the previous owner may have removed uk maping or uk post codes from the system and they may needed to be reloaded.

if your system an navteq one prior to 2003? it is known that the mapping from that period did not support uk post codes i assume buying a new mapping software will resolve this issue. I would recommend checking with jaguar in case any system software upgrade is also needed to read later mapping data versions.

Where is the a/c charge port on a a2001 s-type jaguar

the a/c low side port is underneath on the compressor and a normal quick connect a/c guage will work on it charged one today. easy as 123. this car holds exactly 28 oz of r134. to much will cause high pressure and can result in locking down the system.
