Have the battery tested. There are many auto parts stores that will do this free of charge.

My 1999 e320 M-benz, got new battery, 5 days Idle, the six days engine won't start checked it was only 9.46v & I jumped start okey with engine running the battery voltage was 14.26v is this normal?

A battery at 9.46V is weakening. 5 days of just at idle may have brought the voltage down some if there where any lights, heater/ac,alarm system or another type of short. Possibly a dirty or bad battery connector at the battery change was the cause & the booster cable clamp solved the problem. After the boost did the idle go up any? The 14.26 is the sign of a good working alternator. I would double check those battery cables first GOOD LUCK< FRANK M

Check battery cables are correct ! Prime suspect here ! Alternator may be damaged and shorting .. Don't drive any car that will melt jumper cables ! Something very basic wrong here.

Vehicle unused with dead battery for 6 months will start but not maintain idle

The automatic idle speed control system has lost its adaptive idle learning due to the dead battery. To help to correct this in the short term run the engine at 2000 RPM until warm, then back down to 1500 RPM for 3 minutes, then 1000 RPM for 3 minutes, then let it idle for 5 minutes, this should get the system to a point in the idle learn that it doesn't stall out, then drive it for 20 miles under varied conditions of highway and stop and go and low speed operation, that should get all to work again. If you still have problems you will need to have the system scanned to see what is going on that is causing a stall. Also add fresh fuel, gas goes bad in about 3 months. Use the recommended grade of fuel.

Installed new baterry and new alternator...battery or alternator dies in one day

the alternator will not die in one day unless there is a direct short causing diode or coil winding failure which would give signs of smell, melted wires. Disconnect battery and give full charge. what year is this? while vehicle is running you should be able to briefly disconnect positive battery post connection and vehicle will still run if alternator is good. For a new battery to die in one day, one of two things i think has happened. Either the batt is faulty from supplier,( not likely but i have seen it ) or there is a direct draw or grounding taking place whether its direct in the starter selonoid or a direct draw through accessories. Are you sure all switches are off ? Push switches (on interior lights) nothing like dome lights, delayed lights are staying on! Does vehicle start hard like it almost needs a jump. If it has to be (and it takes time). to find out what is drawing the power ( i am old school) disconnect positive power source on batt. 2) disconnect ignition power source on starter. 3) connect pos batt wire to starter, 4) touch positive cable to positive batt post and look for spark or contact. if this reacts then selonoid or starter motor is shorted drawing the current. Or if you have volt meter and know how to use it, this is good to. If checks good then hook ignition connection back on starter.(disconnect pos terminal on batt prior to re-connect) I think the battery is having the life sucked out of it by a short in the system ( A DRAW ) this could be a quick find or fix or this could take days to track down. alot of variables here to try to explain. but i would seek into the starter first as usually this drains the battery quickly .

the remote starter is not going to damage the starter, but if wired wrong it could damage the wiring or fuses, or run the battery down from a short.

Is this vehicle a stick or and automatic? based on your write up it sponds loke your popping the clutch to get it started. If thats the case you need a starter. If not then check the following:
Battery cables off the battery and starter ,starter relay and ignition switch. These are the items in the starting system for no crank and no start.
Get Shop manual and do the appropriate testing for each.

CAR IS NOT CHARNGING THE BATTERY BUT WHEN I DISCONNECT THE BATTERY WHILE RUNNING, THE BATTERY CABLES SHOW 14V. AND WHEN I CONNECT IT BACK, THE CABLES JUST SHOW BATTERY VOLTAGE AND IT IS GOING DOWN. WHAT IS...

You problem could be one of two thing a charging problem or a battery dying. yes you can get the voltage but not get the amperage to charge a battery. Do the lights dim at idle and brighten as you accelerate? Does the car continue to run but the battery goes down after sitting for a while? DO NOT DISCONNECT THE battery cables with the vehicle running as this can result in damage to the charging and other systems. Here are things i look for (1) does the car start on it owns without a jump? (2) does the vehicle idle smooth? A dying battery uses more charging load on the alternator and can result in rough idle and poor performance and gas mileage. (3) this is an odd one but but has helped int he past, does the battery smell like rotten eggs? When a battery is dying it can stink when it is getting a charge from the alternator. To be sure go to your local auto parts store for a free battery and charging check. Takes few minutes and no cost. Hope this helps.

The battery should never be disconnected while the motor is running - this can cause excessive voltages to appear on the alternator output.
That in turn could cause destruction of any electronic module on the vehicle, including damage to the alternator itself.
Assuming the electrical system has not been damaged, the cause of your discharge problem is most likely a current drain on the battery when the vehicle is unused.
Check for a drain current from the battery while the vehicle is standing with engine and all electrical system turned OFF -
[ while in this condition, if you don't have a current meter, temporarily connect a small bulb (6-12W) in series with the main battery ground cable - lamp glow indicates current drain - remove fuses, disconnect items to identify current drain],

Also check alterator output voltage (measured across the battery terminals) is approx 14.5V when engine is running and electric system is loaded with headlights or blower fan on.
