Question about 1987 GMC G1500
Overheated the motor on a 1987 gmc van and did all the gaskets and it is burning oil is it the valves and how can u tell if it isnt the rings besides there was no oil on the pistons and how do u change them with out taken the heads off
I'm guessing 5.0L or 5.7 L engine?
A wet/dry compression test should determine whether rings or valves. Does it burn oil all the time, or mostly when revved up ?
