After you change the battery, the computer has to
re-learn the idle.it takes between 10-20 miles of driving to re-learn.you can clean the throttle body too, they get sludged up and change air flow and idle.

Check level and condition of your transmission fluid. If your transmission fluid is turning brown or if your vehicle has not had a transmission fluid and filter change in 5 years or 50,000 miles, do that right away before you fry your transmission.

You have blown a fuse in the fuse box area. Either under the dash driver side. In glove box or under the hood near the firewall or battery box

I HAVE A 2006 GT MUSTANG WITH ONLY 60 MILES ON THE CLOCK, I NEED TO FIT STABILITY CONTROL TO IT IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO REGISTER IT IN AUSTRALIA. ARE THERE ANY KITS AVAILABLE.

According to NRMA, the Australian motorist society, new passenger cars and SUVs sold in Australia beginning in November 2011 must be equipped with stability control systems.

This requirement, like most safety and emissions standards, is NOT retroactive. Since your 2006 model Mustang would have been sold as a new car about five years earlier, the requirement doesn't apply to you.

Now hit the road and put some miles on that thing!

PS: Please don't post questions IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. It's considered shouting.

2006 mustang gt abs light and traction control light come on

First, the battery replacement indicates you have a short. Either something draining the battery, or a bad alternator. This explains the light problem too. Get the alternator and battery tested at a auto-parts store. All the rest will fall in place.

Low idle. 78,000mi recent very low idle almost stalling. Hwy miles 2006 GT. plugs never changed. TPS not changed or cleaned nor throttle body. Did replace a battery early in the year.

Most often, dirty or faulty 02 sensors will throw off the idle. The 02 sensors and camshaft position sensor basically control all the idle. If TPS was dirty or bad, you would have some hesitation when giving some gas. Bad plug would cause lack of power or misfire.
