When I start car taillights come on but no brake lights or third light in window

Well your parking lights should not come on when you start the car unless you have turned on light switch. Most cars you must step on the brake to start, so the brake lights would be on. Your problem maybe a burnt out bulb on rear window lite.

TEST: have someone watch the rest and push on brakes see what lights. If 2 tail lite then its blub.
If non light its the fuse in box underdash.
Now take foot off brake and turn on lights and emergency flashers walk around check all lights then step on brake and see if brakes light up.

Replace bulbs or fuses as needed.

Hope this helps Mike

My Nissan Maxima 2001 steering is whining when I turn. What is going on? Do I need new fluid, or do I need to worry about the steering pump? Any help is appreciated... jfsivory

If your fluid is full and it just started doing this, then I would get it checked right away. Yes most likely it is your steering pump going out. Sorry to say, but that is first signs, unless you are low on fluid. Thanks mike

My 2004 maxima rear lights dont work but brake lights do can it be a fuse or the bulb

Could be either one. I'd start by checking the fuse, and if it is okay then checking the bulb. Both sides could have the bulb go out at the same time, but it is more likely the fuse, and the brake lights work off a different circuit. Hope this helps. Good luck :O)

Vibration on acceleration

Take the car to have the tires rotated and balanced. That should cure the problem unless the brake rotors are warped.

Help

It means there is a fault in the brakes/anti lock braking system. This should be immediately seen to by a mechanic. It may be best to have a mobile mechanic come, or to tow it to a service centre (might not be best to drive)
