Question about 1999 Ford Windstar
If the ABS light stays on indicates a problem with the system, most of the time it is a wheel speed sensor that has failed. You will need a decent scan tool that can read ABS codes, or go to a service garage and they can find a repair the problem, don't be alarmed some parts are not cheap. If you can stand the light being on, the ABS system will not operate, but your basic brakes will work normal with out ABS, just in a panic stop the wheels can lock up.
