If the catalytic converter is plugged up that will make the engine act as if your out of gas. Have a muffler shop take a look.

Has position sensors in the gas pedal and in the throttle body . They wear an cause these type problems . Suggest you take it to a qualified repair shop .

CHECK POWERTRAIN warning light comes on dash, when running on LPG and happens randomly after after taking off? I turn engine off then start it again & warning is gone. Splutters heaps before stopping

the power train comprises the engine , transmission , drive shafts and differentials.
surging on lpg is an indication of the gas converter freezing up in the regulator and needs attention
for other details get a work shop manual for your vehicle as the areas are explained in detail with photos

After driving the car for awhile, sometimes when I go to slow down and stop at the stop light the car cuts off. It starts back up but takes a moment before I can get it in drive again. I'm not sure what's...

Hello sizerr1441, while it could be many things, the most common fix for what you have described is getting a new air filter, it's atleast a cheap place to start.
If your air filter is pretty new, you may try adding some fuel treatment to your gas to clean out the fuel injectors. WARNING, make sure you read the directions on the bottle. DO NOT add a full bottle to less tha a full tank of gas or you could damage the valves.
Good luck my friend!

Yellow warning light that says check is on What does it want? In manual it says take to dealer

Take it to a Pep boys if you don"t have a code reader.
They will check out the computer code warning you are getting right noe.
The cost will be about $40 or 50 bucks.
The dealer will charge you three times that much, plus Pep boys will give you a up front free estimate if you need any repairs.
Bet it's the gas cap though.
Try tightening your gas cap and driving the car around far a hundred miles or so.
remember never put gas or loosen the gas cap when the engine is on.
The computer will pick up the venting like it would a leak, thus sending a warning code to the computer.

My son's car is a Honda Accord 91 and he said that when he drives it as of late the car changes gears to high or low. Sometimes it drives well then the gears shift to slow. What problem can this be??

this is one of the first "fuzzy logic" boxes fitted by honda,
the gearchange pattern will change dependant on the driving style of the driver.
first check the trans level.then without touching the gas put car in gear and let it run to max speed(about 30/35mph).stop.
then put 1/3rd gas pedal down (keep it still)and let car go to max speed, stop.then floor the gas to a safe top speed for the test road...then stop.you have just reset the change mode.
if you drive the car with only 1/3rd gas the car will change lowdown the rev range(boring) and save you a fortune in gas...
if son drives different to you the car will know who is driving and change accordingly(takes about 30 miles to react)
it is NOT in any handbook.

My car was running beautifully, had a oil change and filters change, again drove beautifully for 3 days, then overnight, it starts great, but shakes between 5mph-25 mph, and is sluggish when i take off...

Have your fuel filter changed, your fuel filter may be at the end of it's life time and is dirty. The fuel filter should be replaced every 15,000 miles or once a year to ensure that the fuel system is running at 100%. Try that first and if there is an Auto Zone around your area, have the car scanned for the DTC codes. Auto Zone scan free of charge and can give you the recommended steps to addressing the issue that is causing your engine problem. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help you get your car running 100% again soon.

Warnig oil stop but oil level fine.

When you say the oil level is fine, has it dropped at all in oil level even within the fine area?

Your oil sensor may faulty, or you may have a pressure leak somewhere since you said it occurs when you slow down (let your foot off the gas which will reduce the pressure). One known issue with golfs (hope it's not with yours) is that the rear engine seal often springs a leak and ends up leaking into the flywheel and transmission assembly.

I have a 2005 volkswagen beetle. I have been having problems. When I take off its ok when i press the gas. Once I get on the fwy and i am driving for like 15 mins and there is traffic and its stop and go....

Is it worse with a full tank? I'm thinking that the closed circuit tank breather system is creating a vacum in the tank starving the engine, when you switch off it will vent the tank, try running with the cap loose or off (this might turn the engine warning light on for a while but dont worry)
