Did you have the shop check to see if your catalytic converter needs to be replaced?

2004 dodge stratus had recent tune up car keeps reading 02 misfire whats wrong how to fix

I have been dealing with the same issue.
When was the last time you changed your O2 sensors?
Which O2 sensor and which bank is it that is flagging your engine light?
Are you sure the reading is an O2 sensor misfire, or is it reading O2 error and a misfire?

I would start by looking at your pipes for the O2 reading. You need to check your pipes, make sure that they are all tight and secure. If in fact they are, you have no holes or leaks in the piping, then you need to have your Catalytic Converter tested.

The misfire can be a defective spark plug, a bad ignition coil pack or maybe a sensor got bumped and isn't connected completely...?

1995 GEO-PRIZM 1.8L eng.Surges under all driving conditions

If you have a check engine light on you can pull the code and it should tell you if its an o2 sensor or not. I usually replace them when i do a major tune up. Change your spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor (if your car has cap and rotor), oil and filter, tranmission oil and filter, air filter, fuel filter, coolant flush, and o2 sensors. Thats a major tune up. Also spray a little brake cleaner above the engine around the intake and vacuum line and see if the engine reacts to it. If does you have a vacuum leak which may cause you to surge aswell. You may also want to change your iac motor and throttle postion sensor aswell seeing as they have alot to do with idle and acceleration. Without an engine code its hard to tell but those are my basics gor that problem. You can ask a mechanic for a diagnostic then you can fix it yourself if thats what you are trying to do. Hope this helped good luck

Engine light on, vehicle usually won't start. engine light code is o2 sensor

The oxygen sensor won't stop it from cranking or starting

Check for spark or injector pulse when cranking

Check fuel pressure at the motor shrader valve with a gauge

My car keeps hesitating.....shakes terribly...cuts off but cranks right bak check engine light comes on sometimes n the codes r p0507 n I 4got the other....I replaces o2 sensor tps fuel regulator...

Try replacing the Mass Air Flow sensor ,OR The MAP sensor. (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Check to make sure there's no vacuum leak anywhere on the engine. Even a small leak can completely screw up how an engine runs.

My 2001 VW Beetle is stalling. I had a tune up done and the mass air flow sensor and it is still happenning. The check engine light comes on and flashes then it stays on.

check engine light flashing means misfire and it staying on is probably because of your o2 sensor picking up all the unburnt fuel. check all the spark plugs again and make sure you didn't cross any wires. i'm pretty sure the wires were crossed or the spark plugs were fouled

Engine light is on, car wont stay on

check the fuses , you can have a o2 sensor fuse open, also check the wiring because o2s are close to the cats or manifoldss some time they burn and get shorted.., other thing you can do is unplug the o2s and drive it like that and see if it shuts off , if it doesn't so the problem is around that sensor...hope this help..
