With the hood open, looking back the car, it is on your right. There are Two radiator hoses, it is on the end of the lower one. you will have to take the air cleaner and assy out to access it. Just take the two 10mm bolts out to access it.

Hi their, here's a link on replacing your thermostat,it doesn't really show it we'll,just follow the top hose from the radiator, that's where the thermostat is,easy to install. You don't need to drain all of the coolant, just a third would do,be careful cause the coolant could kill your pet if they were to drink it. I have a 2000 cadillac deville that is running hot.i have changed the thermostat and changed the radiator.my water pump is circelating.what could be the problem?

Make sure that the cooling fan operates properly, and if it does, then your radiator is partially clogged, allowing coolant to only pass through some of its channels and thereby lowering it's cooling efficiency.

Where is my water pump located on my 2000 Cadillac deville

on the front of the engine on the drivers side there is a cover over the pulley that drives the water pump. The water pump is mounted in the coolant crossover behind the thermostat housing. A special tool is required to remove and install it.

Where is the themostat on 2000 cadillac deville

hi. On a 4.9L follow the upper radiator back to the engine. This should be the thermostat housing. The thermostat should be inside.
On a 4.6L the thermostate is in the housing which is near the water pump drivebelts "on the coolant crossover housing". If this is not clean I recommend you buy the Haynes for your DeVille. See page 3-4, illustration 3.14.
