How to disable the security system on a 96 Chrysler LHS?

I think many of these systems can be reset by hooking up battery, turning the key to "ON" but not to start, wait 15 minutes, turn key off, then try to start.

I suggest that you go to ALLDATA.COM and take out a subscription for ALLDATADIY, this access can give you unlimited knowledge about your vehicle. Dashboard gauges

Sounds like you have a broken wire. Check the wires under the fuse panel under the hood. Its a problem with Chrysler mini vans and it might be the same here.

96 Chrysler LHS shuts off when I slow down

IF IT WAS A FUEL FILTER IT WOULD ACT LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME. GO TO AUTO ZONE OR ADVANCED PART STORE AND THEY WILL SCAN IT FOR FREE.BECAUSE IT COULD BE A EGR VALVE STICKING OR A THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR OR A {A.I.S MOTOR].
