Break lights went out at the same time

I have this same problem but the only thing My third breaklight still works. Could it still be the switch??? All my fuses look good. Is there a chance the bulbs just went out together.

The brake switch is good it sends power too the three brake lights the same time . so your bulbs are both gone the same time or the sockets are bad or you have a broken wire.
get someone to hold on the brake and test with a test light in the socket, {both ground and live} then check the wires the same way
Hopes this helps you : Bruce Pike

1995 ford mustang break lights do not work.

get a manuel from an auto parts store. in this manuel it will have etm(electrical troubleshooting manuel) it shows the brake lights and wires colors of wires. trace the wire color from the fuse using the diagram. purchase a test light from wal mart to see if your wire has power. if it does there may be a bad connection or component but hte etm shoud show you what components are on the circuit.any questions email me at jacobtaylor3@yahoo.com

The brake pedal lever activates a switch that controls on and off for your brake lights Activate the brake lever with your hand to see where it is and to adjust it.The switch will have two wires on it and is reasonably small.Sounds like you need to unwind it a bit.
