Question about 2004 Mazda 6

1 Answer

Clueless....lol I have a 2000 mazda mpv and i hear a clicking noise along with a rattling on the passenger side of the engine. I was told that it could be the timing chain, or a possibly a valve. I just got the oil changed yesterday, blue smoke came out of the tail pipe after vehicle stalled. The van cut off on me twice yesterday, once before the oil change and once after. When I opened the hood of the van it had an exhaust smell.

By what you describe, it is very likely a valve or valve guide, or push rod on valve is bad.
