The buzzer is coming on because the lights are still on. the car is warning you of this. lights staying on may be a bad sensor or bad light switch.

I have a 2005 toyota matrix that has a intermittent door ajar that flickers on my instrument panel ,also hearing loud static chatter in my radio now , any suggestions?

Sounds like a bad switch or needs adjustment .
On the back of the door their is a plunger type switch so when the door is closed its in off position when the door is open it slides out and makes the buzzers and some lights come on .I would start their.

I have a 1989 Toyota Corolla DLX 4dr, fwd. The car was running and starting fine (drove it to the store this morning) and when I go to move it later to let my roommates out of the driveway, the car wont...

Battery very weak
Alternator not working
Bad connections at battery posts, or bad connections on ground cable

If you can jump the car to start it, and it will stay running, take it to Advance Auto, Auto Zone, O'Reilly's, etc and have them test your battery/alternator.

Avensis verso 2005

hmm, ok, some vehicles i.e.mine ,has a courtesy light cancelling bitton swith on the dashboard on the lft end or drivers side, I guess it's so a person(s) can enter or exit the vehicle in a stealth mode.. It's not the dash light dimmer although that switch also controls the interior lights, what drove me crazy was whether or not the lights had been turned off individually when a door was open. If thats possible at all. Won't hur to ck. If you still have the owners book it should say somrthing. It more than likely is something that simple. good luck

1997 Toyota corolla - warning noise when lights left on - not working on drivers side!

The ground circuit for the driver side door switch is compromised, or the door switch is bad. Try this: Remove the black rubber cover from the door swich. Using a 10 millimeter wrench or socket, loosen & tighten the switch retention bolt. See if the dome light flickers. If so, the ground on the switch is bad, & just needs cleaned up. If not, remove the switch, and touch the wire behind the switch to the body,or the bolt hole. If the dome light lights, you need a door switch. Your problem is entirely in the door switch/ground/wiring. Hope this helps, and thanks for choosing FixYa.
