Question about Toyota Camry Solara

2 Answers

I recently bought a used 2004 Solara and noticed that the windshield washer did not work. When I checked under the hood I found that the tubes were not connected to the sprayers, I removed the heat mat to get access and reconnect them but I can't figure out how they attach to the sprayer nozzles since the hood is double walled.

I don't think the firewall is involved in this connection because the sprayers are actually mounted on the top of the hood. Somehow the tubes eventually get routed between the two layers of hood metal and connect to the underside of the sprayers but I don't see any access to the sprayers. Whe I first took a look the tubes were just hanging from underneath the hood.

You need to look under the firewall and that usually on the windshield side look under the exact location of the sprayer if you can not see an opening to slid the tub then you need to make a small cut under each one and slide the tube back way that way you insert in the new cut the end first to wards the windshield then connect the other end to the sprayer and the th side you installed first take it to the other end and connected…it is just a matter of looking for the small opening under the firewall.
....let me know if that work for you and please do not forget to rate my service so I am able to continue providing same...god bless

I have a 2003 Pontiac gran prix. The windshield washer fluid quit working. The lines aren't froze. Power to the fluid pump is working. I replaced the washer fluid pump and it still doesn't work. What am I...

A crack in the tubing, clogged up sprayers on the hood. Check for leaks while a buddy activates the pump. Try cleaning the sprayers with compressed air. Listen to the pump, do you hear it working? If not, you have a bad pump or no power.

How do i fix the windshield washer system on my 04 liberty, every time we pull the washer lever it pours out of the driver side fender

You have a tube that has popped/broken off. With the hood up, have a person pull the washer lever and you look under the hood for the leaky hose/tube. Once you find it, make a common sense approach to determine how to get it connected back to where it belongs. Trace backwards from where the water should be coming out until you reach the end of the line. That is where the hose/tube needs to be connected back to.

2004 dodge intrepid a/c problems

Check for loss of coolant also. If you can see/smell oily deposits on windshield, it's unlikely it's from the a/c system as there is relatively little lubricant there. More likely your heater core is leaking and allowing coolant to be blown up onto the windshield. There will also be a distinctive odor with this.

Windshield washer isn't pushing out any fluid

Had that happen to me before. Simply raise the hood and locate the plastic or rubber tube running to out put nozzle on hood. Disconnect and see if fluid shoots out. If it shoots out, simple take a needle of safety pin and clean out the nozzles located on the hood and should work. To clean the nozzle, you will have to lower the hood. If you want to you can do that before raising the hood. Oh by the way I assume you have verified that the reservoir is full.

Hi, We have a 2004 saturn ion and we need to cahnge the windshield washer transmission and can't figur out how to remove the wipers, without bending the arm. Is there a easy way to do it?

The wiper "motor" is usually located at the bottom of the fluid reservoir. Remove the fluid bottle under the hood and at the lower end of it you will find the motor. Once in a while it is located on the wall of the car under the hood - follow your fluid tubes to find and replace.
