In my opinion (just mine of course) this is a tricky little job - the window winding assembly is rather complicated and I'd probably get someone else to do the job. Shop around - there could be rather a large difference between quotes. It won't be ridiculously cheap (there's a little bit of labour involved) but it should be outrageously expensive either.

IMHO, I'd let it be someone else's headache

Hope this helps,
Sherwin

Cable on power window pulley snapped, how do i raise the window manually

Likely will need to remove interior trim panel. Usually it's held on (in most vehicles) by a couple screws then just pops off with pressure.
Once removed there will likely be two bolts holding your glass in.
If your cable snapped, call local wrecking yards or check eBay for that door window regulator (part with cable).
Unbolt glass from your regulator. Most likely turn it 90degrees to pull out. Then removed regulator and put new one in. Afterwards put glass back on.

If you only want to push the glass back up then it's a case-by-case scenario in each vehicle. However remodeling trim will likely be necessary to secure it inside the door, until regulator gets replaced.

How do i get electric window unit in

Un clip the window mechanism from the glass (plastic snap) prop up window with insulating tape in the fully closed position. I'm assuming you have the metal inner door skin removed by now ! Un do the retaining nuts and remove the motor assy (unplugged) reversal procedure to install. You'll have to be in the humour to do this !

This tells me the regulator is broken, the cable may have poped or a plastic wheel guide broke, you will need to replace the regulator, heres a picture to help explain what i'm talking about,fb9a2c2.jpg

How do i repair the electric window mechanism on my drivers side front door? the glass has dropped inside the door and the cable appears to have snapped off something but i cant see what

The winder mechanism is plastic and prone to snapping. get a new lifter assembly. but keep your old winder motor as this is not included. Remove the door trim - screws in handle and pops around edge,(difficult to get door card past door handle take care) - disconnect elect plugs for speakers and door controls . then push out the plastic pin that connects the drive to the glass frame - awkward job - needs patience and care. hope this helps - good luck.

How do i replace a 1992 honda accord drivers front window

IF you scroll over the title, you can see the word "window". Raise the window about two inches. Remove the interior door panel: Remove the inner door handle screw, push the handle forward, pull it out some, unclip the actuating rod, you may also have to unplug the power lock switch. Remove the screw in the arm rest. Remove the plastic plug at the forward upper corner of the panel. Remove the black plastic triangle at the insdie of the side view mirror (it just snaps in place). Pull the bottom of the panel away from the door to disengage plastic clips, then lift the panel off the door and disconnect the electrical connectors. Pull the plastic away from the bottom part of the door (you'll probably end up tearing it). There are two bolts that hold the window glass to the regulator mechanism, remove those and the glass can be pulled up through the window opening. If necessary, the bottom of the window tracks (a screw at the bottom of botjh) can be loosened to loosen up the window.
