Not sure how many miles you have on this truck but I do know that over time these fuel systems need to be checked out. Injectors should be tested and nozzles replaced and set up. Improper spray pattern and dripping nozzles cause timing issues and will cause your engine to run like **** and used more fuel. I would strart here. If this does not solve it I would then start looking at the fuel pump as the issue. These pumps over time will go out due to lack of lubrication from todays fuels. How does this truck run at idle?

2006 KJ Cherokee 2.8lt turbo diesel manual. When I accelerate engine surges then flat spot then surges again as it accelerates there is also a lot of black smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe

There is a waste gate on a turbo and that gate dumps the excess pressure in the manifold. There is a sensor that determines when the gate opens and closes. You need to run a diagnostic scan and see what the waste gate and sensors are doing.

Twin turbo 80 horse power deutz Diesel engine blows black smoke under load

Diesel engines smoke when under a heavy load. Unlike a gas engines, a diesel engine uses fuel that is more like an oil.Smoking is a good indication the fuel is not completly burning because of loaded engine spee. White smoke indicates the fuel is not ignitingefficiently. Truck, boats, tanks abd anything else using diesel fuel will smoke when it gets more fuel than it can use.. Easing up on the throttle will lessen the smoke but not eliminate.. Of coarse if the demand is lessened by applying less loadyhe fuel consumption drops. Not to worry as long as the smoke doesn't attract the EPA.

Hello .. I am having a maruti Suzuki 800 Or fronte with altered daihatsu 1 litre turbo diesel engine with turbo removed .. the car is lazy to start after 3days of not using .. the self start has a glow...

diesels need a fast turning starter to compress the air to a hot enough temperature to ignite the atomised fuel at the injectors. There in lies the problem I would suggest. 1 the battery is not good enough .2 the injectors are dirty /blocked and are squirting and not atomising. IF this is the case you will be getting "diesel knock". If you have removed the turbo then you will need to get the fuel pump reset as there will be excess fuel being used ( knocking and black smoke on acceleration). AS for quietening down the engine and compartment it has taken much engineering by manufacturers to get the engine as quite as they are now and this engine was noticeably noise when new.

Car model: chevrolet colorado 2.8 turbo diesel ,

It sounds like it has a bad main bearing, or it is dumping oil in the fuel (bad gaskets) You definitely do not want to run the engine with low oil pressure.

WELL BLACK SMOKE AND KNOCKING CAN BE CAUSE BY RESTRICTED AIR FILTER FAULTY .INJECTION PUMP IT HAS INTERNAL FAILURE OR INJECTION PUMP TIMING OFF.USE A MECHANIC STETHOSCOPE SAME THING DOCTOR USE BUT IT HAS A LONG PROBE PICKS SOUNDS YOU CAN HEAR ENGINE NOISES.FAULTY VALVES AND FAULTY FUEL INJECTORS.YOU CAN GO TO SEARS BUY ONE.PLACE IT NEAR YOUR DIESEL INJECTION PUMP WHILE ENGINE RUNNING IF PUMP FAULTY YOU CAN HEAR IT USING A STETHOSCOPE.

Fuel filter on picaso 2.0 litre diesal engine

Black smoke from a diesel engine does not mean you have to change the fuel filter. It is caused by the air filter being dirty. That you need to change.Anyway if you want to change the fuel filter it is located at the front middle of the engine in a black plastic round case with notches around the top.Good luck hope that was helpfull.
