Did the pulley fail (split) or did it coe off of the crank? Some mitsubishi's have had issues with loosening crank bolts and the pulley coming off. To install it you's need to remove the driver side front tire and bolt it back in. Be certain the key is in the shaft or within the pulley (if lost replace it) I'd replace the bolt and apply a "blue" lock-tight to it and torque the crank bolt in to its proper spec. I hope this may have helped, Tom

the crankshaft postion sensor is always located either under the harmonic balancer pully aka crankshaft pully or mounted right outside the pully if yoiu need to change it keep in mind that you will need to to own or rent a harmonic balancer pully puller and a harmonic balancer pully installer kit both you can rent both at autozone fairly cheap and get all your money back when your done

Crankshaft pullys drift in and out about one quarter of an inch throwing outside belt also making noise but it doesnt sound internal

your crankshaft shouldn't be moving that much. you need to check to see if your pully is loose or not, if pully is tight to crank and the whole crankshaft is moving that much then the thrust is out on crank and oil pan should be removed and thrust bearing checked. may have to remove and tear down engine to have crank and engine block checked at machine shop.

How can i removed the crankshaft pully bolt if the crankshaft is broken?

If the crankshaft is broken you will likely have to the engine apart and remove the bolt with the crank out. Since you have to tear the engine down anyway, no big deal. Why not just replace the engine with a good used one?

My L200 is cutting the side off power steering belts.it has had the re-call on the power steering pump bracket done.

ensure that the pullies are alligned together! crankshaft pully or power steering pully slightly out will cause this! maybe the crankshaft pully will need to be shimmed.

Hope this helps

2001 dodge stratus R/T- serpatine belt fell off- why-

correct sounds like the balance pully fell apart, common problem.the outter ring with grooves to hold belt is held together by rubber, wears out and falls apart, must replace that crank pulley, remove center bolt use a puller to remove pully, then install new one and belt.( must be a puller for newer dodges 1999 and up to work.hope this is helpful.

How to remove bottom pully bolt 1.6 hdi 307

you need to peg the crankshaft near your gearbox. There is a hole in engine block for this purpose. Find this hole and insert an allen key (thick enough to fit in there). Turn the crank pully with ratchet in clockwise while try to find out the locking hole in crankshaft near gearbox by pushing allen key through engine block hole. You'll hear a click and the allen key goes fully inside. Now your crankshaft is locked and you can open (anticlockwise) the pully bolt.

Locating the crankshaft sensor

The crankshaft sensor is a sensor that is on the front of the motor. If you look at the front of the motor look around the bottom pully there should be a sensor behind that pully.
