SOURCE: 83 volvo gl, driver's side power won't work

You're lucky it moves at all! The most common is for there to be gunk in the window switch. If you feel adventurous, it is easily possible to disassemble the switch and clean it up. Gently pry the surrounding trim up that holds the drivers master switches. There are spring clips at the front and rear that hold it in. You will see that it contains 4 identical switches. Gently pry out the drivers switch and unplug it from the harness. When you have the switch by itself, you will see the rocker is held on and pivots on two small pins on either side. Read carefully: When you do the following, be somewhere you can find small flying parts...not in the yard! With a small screwdriver, ever so gently pry the top hinge off of the pivot pin. When you do this, a tiny spring can fly off so go slowly! You'll probably see a mass of crud down in the guts of the switch and 2 silver BB's.Clean it all out w/ a solvent such as brake cleaner spray, replace the 2 BB's and spring and clip the top of the swtch back onto the pivots.
If this is more than you want to do, you can either buy a new switch or swap w/ a back window switch that works.

SOURCE: 1995 volvo 960 stuck in winter mode

Where roy might have a possible source, it is most likely the park neutral switch which has started to fail. This is indicated by the shift arrow flashing on the dash. Replacement of this component is relatively difficult without a lift

SOURCE: Driver side window stuck on Nissan Maxima 2004

It is likely the window motor is wearing out and will need to be replaced. You can always try a different switch on those wires to rule out switch problem. Otherwise, the motor will have to be replaced.

How can I remove front row seat headrest?

Most volvo headrest can be removed by releasing the catches which are on the back of the headrest on some models and on the front on others I believe on 960 they are on the back. To release the seat on a 960 look where the shafts should be then follow it down on the back where the seat back top stops then goes in press around that area you should be able to find the catch there pull up on the headrest while releasing the catch you have to do this on both sides. The headrest should come off this also works on 740 and 760 series the volvo 780 is a different story the only way to get the headrest off on that is to disassemble the seat

1996 850 Wagon. Sticks in park, and more

Ultimately, Stick to the Above Diagnosis. You have already Discovered what the Problem is. DO NOT let the Mechanic repair all this other Stuff that May Come up until after the Ignition has been Replaced. The Ignition being Replaced should solve these Problems without any added Repairs unless they are Small ones. Should not Cost you all that Much either. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
