If it won't build boost pressure then the most likely problem is the waste gate has failed. there are two types and I need to know the turbo charger type in order to help you more. If you have a vachum operated waste gate the digaphram may be blown or the vachum line broke or the vachum pump has failed.

Yes the code indicates the problem with the air fuel mixture of your car.
As you have already replaced the oxygen sensors and catalyticx converters it must be the MAF(Mass Air Flow ) sensors which has gone bad.

Usually ends up being the turbo,variable veins usual stick due to excessive carbon build up causing over boost, very rare turbo pressure sensors are wrong. Get the air mass meter checked as this can cause excessive carbon problems,and clean EGR valve.

Fault codes P0236 and P0046 keep coming up on my freelander1 td4 2004


P0236 = Possible causes are

1. Boost pressure sensor harness is open or shorted
2. Boost pressure sensor circuit poor electrical connection
3. Faulty boost pressure sensor
4. Faulty Turbo/Super Charger
5. Engine over temperature
6. Ignition misfire exceeds the threshold
7. Faulty Knock sensor (KS)

P0046 = Turbo/Super Charger Boost Control Solenoid Circuit Range/Performance

.... based on this information I would replace the turbo boost control solenoid first.

Mapping codes P0107, P2263 & P2227 come up on scan tool what are these codes relating too? Ford Ranger 2008 not 2004 3.0 4 door


code p 0107 refers to manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor /barometric pressure (BARO) sensor --low input ====causes --wiring short to ground ---MAP sensor ---BARO sensor ---ECM
code p 2263 refers to turbo charger (TC) boost pressure /supercharger (SC) boost pressure ---performance problem====causes --mechanical fault
code p 2227 refers to BARO sensor -range / performance problem===causes wiring --- BARO sensor --- ECM
I would be testing the BARO sensor for a problem as it is listed for all 3 codes
if you don't have such a sensor you have a MAP sensor which is reading in the same area so test that as well

The P0299 DTC code refers to a condition where the PCM/ECM (powertrain/engine control module) has detected that the bank "A" or single turbocharger or supercharger is not providing a normal amount of boost. That could be due to a variety of reasons, which we detail below. On a normally operating turbocharged or supercharged engine the air going into the engine is pressurized and that's part of what makes so much power for an engine of it's size. If this code is set, you will likely notice reduced power output. In the case of Ford vehicles, this may apply: "The PCM checks for a minimum throttle intake pressure (TIP) PID reading during engine operation, which indicates an underboost condition. This DTC sets when the PCM detects that the actual throttle intake pressure is less than the desired throttle intake pressure by 4 psi or more for 5 seconds." Symptoms Symptoms of a P0299 DTC may include: MIL (Malfunction indicator lamp) illumination Reduced power output from engine, possibly in a limp mode Unusual sounds from the engine/turbo There would likely be no other symptoms. P0234 Description
The boost pressure sensor responds to pressure changes in the intake manifold. This pressure is created by the turbocharger and changes with accelerator pedal position (APP) and engine speed. The engine control module (ECM) uses this information to assist in diagnosis of the barometric pressure (BARO) sensor and to provide engine overboost protection. The boost pressure sensor has a 5-volt reference circuit, a low reference circuit, and a signal circuit. The engine control module (ECM) supplies 5 volts to the boost pressure sensor on the 5-volt reference 2 circuit, and provides a ground on a low reference circuit. The boost pressure sensor provides a signal to the ECM on a signal circuit relative to the pressure changes. The ECM monitors the boost pressure sensor signal for voltage outside of the normal range. The ECM calculates a predicted value for the boost pressure sensor. The ECM then compares the predicted value to the actual signal.

The following is from the Honda Odyssey (1999-2004) Service Manual page 19-81:

"When the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL or check engine light) and the Traction Control System (TCS) light are both on at the same time, you should troubleshoot the Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system first."

"The TCS indicator will come on if one or more of the following components are faulty:
heated oxygen sensor, manifold absolute pressure sensor, crankshaft position sensor, engine coolant temp. sensor, throttle position sensor, top dead center sensor 1 or 2, intake air temp. sensor, exhaust gas recirculation, barometric pressure sensor, idle air control valve, VTEC pressure switch, knock sensor, fuel supply system, automatic transaxle, and misfire detection system of the PGM-FI system."

Most major auto parts stores have a code reader that will read out your diagnostic trouble codes or DTC's that are stored in the car's computer when the MIL comes on. They will do it for free. With these codes, you can narrow down what is wrong. This is good information to have if you are dealing with a mechanic or dealership. The terminal to hook up the code reader is under the driver's side dash about in line with your right shin.

Fuel rail pressure sensor chkt high input p0193


Mine is on too (MIL, with p0193), 2005 freestar. My dealer can't figure it out for some reason? So I went out and bought a code reader, will fix it myself!
Anyways it can be the fuel pressure sensor (approx $100 for part), the fuel pump, or regulator on the fuel line, not too sure what they are worth, and time for labour? I am currently looking for a test gauge to check the pressure in the fuel line to see if it is pump or regulator or sensor. Hopefully your service guys can run a few similar tests and determine what needs to go.
