86 Toyota P/U disc brakes,22R engine, manual trans, 2 wheel drive..what returns the caliper piston to rest when I release the brakes. What else do I need to look at and or rebuild to get them to release? Thanks Jim
You need to use a large "C Clamp" to compress the caliper piston back into the cylinder. This is the normal way since there is no "return" mechanism other than "lack of hydraulic pressure".
The brake fluid will back up into the master cylinder reservoir, so remove some of the fluid.
Just two bolts hold the floating caliper in place.

My yoda just shorted and drained the battery, resetting the clock,etc, will not start again! started and drove this a.m. no prob. Jumped, got er goin, but after short drive, no juice to restart and clock reset....
