If your window is not moving but the motor still runs, chances are you need a new window regulator. The regulator has very few servicable parts, and is replaced as a assembly. It sounds like either the teeth on the motor or on the regulator are stripped out.

Could be that the regulator is broke where it is attached to window motor, thats why it wont go up or down even when the motor is working

2003 Ford Explorer Passenger fonrt window is able to go down and won't go back up. I tried switching the master power switch, I tried switching the back switch with the front (to see if it was the switch...

You may have noticed the window goes both ways with the jumper wires, the moter run either way ,just switches the polarity.

Check inside the DRIVERS door ,**** the boot that goes from the door to the body,I am betting on a broken wire (from the drivers door being opened and closed more than the rest)

The power and ground come from the drivers master switch
If the wires are not broken, the master switch is suspect.

Moter burned up in left rear window, what do I have to remove to get to moter?

The panel under the window is held on first by arm rests and things like that which have to be unscrewed.
The there are a series of snaps around the front, bottom, and back.
Then the panel removes by living up, as long as it is out far enough to clear any shafts, etc. The top of the panel is hooked around the metal near the glass.
After that is off, you will see the screws holding the motor to the door panel, and the screws holding the window to the regulator.
After disconnecting the window, move it up and down a few times by hand, to make sure it if free, and to work in some silicon lubricant.

Drivers window will not go up or down

Your widow motor regulator which is cable driven has broke. That is why your window motor still works. This is somewhat common on these vehicles.:)

Can you hear the moter or do interior lights dim when pressing button? If so remove door panel and lubricate tracks and rolers using lithium grease lube only the tracks that do not come in contact with glass.

Check the connections at the switch and at the moter with a volt meter if there is power than time for a new moter. no power than check at drivers side switch. If no power there and fuse is ok you have a open in wires and will have to trace entire circut
