Question about 2003 Chevrolet Suburban 2500
2003 Chevy Suburban 1500 LT. What is the small speaker (3"ø) next to driver's head? This small speaker was producing an annoying clanking sound like a noisy fan so I had it disconnected. What is the function of this? Should I have it replaced?
Its a tweeter. tweeters make the higher pitched noises mainly treble. minimal to no bass. I would replace it your sound quallity will improve. shouldnt cost too much if you do it yourself.

It isnt a speaker, its a climate control sensor. It has a small fan that draws air over the sensor. Sometimes if you remove and clean it the noise will go away, or just replace it.
