Have you check ignition switch, ignition switch also work like a master switch, which turn on all the power to the vehicle. The contact in the ignition switch sometime tend to wear and loose its contact. assuming the battery, fuse and relay are good. see if you can play with ignition switch by wiggle and turning the key back and forth see if you getting any contact while holding the down the window switch.

1998 expedition driver window fuse or relay

If you hear the relay, you need to pull the door panel and check power at the motor. Power there replace it. No power, the wires tend to break in the rubber boot at the front of the door jam.

No power to the windows door locks or dash fuses are good is there a relay somewhere? \

Check the wiring going through the drivers door. Often it breaks inside the rubber boot that connects the door to the frame. Remove the drivers side kick panel and the door covering and use an ohmmeter to check wire continuity between the interior plugs and the plugs inside the door itself. Don't forget...a broken ground wire will do the same thing as a broken power lead.

In have a 2001 volkswagon passat and i don't know where the fuse box is. please help

On the 2001 Passat, the fuses and relays are located on the driver-side of the dash right where the door touches it. It is behind a plastic panel which can be pulled off to access the fuses. Pull off panel and there is a guide to the fuses (fuse card) and a tool for pulling them out.

Thank you for using Fixya
